Turns 33 this December and has no longer the speed required to perform on a constantly high level in a top league. He was instrumental to Basel's league and cup successes some ten years ago, alongside his fellow countryman Christian Gimenez.

Welcome to the new Sky deal starting next season. For finishing where we did last year it would be an extra £30-45m. If we finish higher maybe £50m.
