Jamie Vardy & Andre Gray

No idea why they're still taking every opportunity to compare themselves to us.

The differences are firstly Vardy is much better. Then we actually bought Vardy from non-league whereas Burnley bought Gray as an 18-goal Championship striker.

"Plus my Burnley ST mate says Darikwa has been incredibly average."

Darikwa has stepped up from playing for Colchester to going straight into our fist team. Matt Lowton - signed from Villa was meant to be first choice but got injured. Darikwa does make a few 'heart in the mouth' mistakes but he makes up for it by being lightening quick. On the whole he's done very well for £600k

I haven't seen anyone have anything other than a light hearted joke in a clearly sarcastic tone.

Chill out guys  :claudio:

You've just described Jeff Schlupp

Our Starting 11 could easily be:

Kasper £1m

Simpson £1.5m

Morgan £1m

Huth £3m

Fuchs FREE

Albrighton FREE

Schlupp YOUTH

Kante £5m (trust me, a bargain)

Drinkwater £1m

Mahrez £450k

Vardy £1m

£14m for a team sat third in the premier league.... not "many pound notes".

Free transfers shouldn't be classed as bargains, just opportunism.

Didn't we get De Laet for £1 to screw over Stoke? We signed him and James for something like £2m, but it was classed as £1,999,999 for James and £1 for De Laet to avoid paying Stoke a large sell on fee.

Someone will say we were ripped off before the next page

I hope Stoke got a cheque for 15p or whatever lol

I think they should, Albrighton was bombed out by Villa. He's been on loan at Wigan and I didn't hear of many people rushing to get him. We've now got a 25 year old at the top of his game worth a damn site more than what we paid (nothing), and probably more than what people thought he'd be worth, even if he'd still been in contract at Villa when we went in for him. We had faith in his ability where others didn't.

£2mil for James and nothing for RDL sounds about the right valuations however...

C'mon guys, don't start playing the big club. Burnleyfan has come here with no malice, treat him with respect. I got treated ok - mostly - on the Palace forum, no need to take the pi55

I genuinely can't see where anyone has played the big club mate. Just a bit of banter.

Try going on the Sunderland forum. See what they do to guest posters

Getting Mahrez for £400k is a better deal than Albrighton for free.

You also have players like Nugent and Fuchs who wanted a new challenge and so let their contract run out, or their clubs couldn't afford to keep them.

Not saying that getting Albrighton or anyone else on a free isn't good business, but it is not comparable to spotting a talented player at a club and convincing them to sell for a very small amount.

Ritchie de Laet is lightning quick and cost a similar amount, don't make him a great defender.

Also Darikwa stepped up from playing for Chesterfield

I didn't say it was a better deal, just that getting someone good on a free should be classed as a bargain if it turns out to be one.

I'm not worried.

I'm a really fast runner.

Youre saving grace. After 20 years on the beer my running days are behind me.

Race you....... cars?

And yes Kante is well ard!!!!!!

In terms of "business", getting Nuge on a free, him being pivotal in getting us promoted and then selling him for £4million when he couldn't get in the team anymore was an exceptional deal.

Yes, Darikwa was from Chesterfield. We signed him after playing them in a pre-season friendly.

Even though you've spent small amounts in comparison to other clubs (don't know about wages). are you happy to keep it that way even though you have wealthy owners?

Clubs like Man City have completely lost their identity as a result.

Whatever that cliche means.

Do you think they'd swap places with Burnley to have a supposed identity? Would you not swap places with them?

When I think of Burnley, I think of wooden seats.

And pound notes
