Reactions if things go downhill

I don't see any reasons why our current standards should fall dramatically.

Our declared aim was to establish ourselves in The Premiership and earn the chance to compete in European football.

We've set about atttaining that with great professionalism and I see no signs of that changing.

Professionalism seems to be running right through the club now headed by our ultra-professional owners and manager. With every step we seem focused on improving right down to the smallest detail and that's how it should be.

I can't ever remember us being better managed as a collective organisation and that's a compliment I'd like to extend to everyone involved.

Even as one who enjoyed the fabulous football we played in the 60s under Gillies and, of course, the MON era, I can't remember ever being more excited about our clubs prospects.

Yes, there were the exceptional joys of Cup finals and the occasional chase for a title but there was no great anticipation for the future because we didn't have the resources. Now we seem to be leading more than following and the excitement can go on as long as our ambition.

I don't read this forum when we lose, it's a simple as that. It's the best way to go about things, not so much because of the hysteria of others but because you become downbeat yourself and start to over analyse things. The form we've shown in the last 21 games is astounding and to think it might be shot to pieces and we return to the toothless team we were from October to March last season is hard to imagine but if we rationalise then we should know that this squad is capable of halting any slump so we must keep calm and supportive. I actually think we'll hold a very good account of ourselves during this tough run but we surely can't remain unbeaten throughout it and we might slip down the table but there'll be the odd big scalp along the way.

Well quite a few people still try and load credit on to Pearson for this hot streak so if it goes tits up, I reckon we can probably blame him too.

We cant credit or blame Pearson with anything that has happened since he got the boot.

Its all down to Wellens.

Piss off with these negative threads we are playing game to game, I'm not sure if we can keep going at the level we are but i would like to think so and if we lose a few games so what the way that this team plays is remarkable we never give in and leave everything on the pitch.

So I will enjoy every minute of it because we have come through tough times and are now reaping are rewards, the team is confident and really positive its just something about some Leicester fans that cant help think negative about our club even when we are flying, I don't get it.

The natural reaction would to say we're going to get relegated, call for Claudio's head, call Vardy and Mahrez shit and go to support Burton Albion.

we will have a hiccup. if we go down now it will be bloody awful but i have faith we can at least beat the current bottom 5 and stay afloat. yeah i will be annoyed that we are losing, but once we start doing that more tickets will be available!

I have supported the city long enough (pleat era) to realise what we have now, it is very similar to the M.O'N team in that there are no big I am's, everyone seems like very good mates that will put their body's on the line for each other and team effort > ability, no this run of form won't continue nor will we go on a run of results like we did last year! Relegation is as likely as a champions league spot. But what the fans need to realise is the effect the grumbling (at the game) at a missed pass/crap shot/dodgy back pass has on the players... And on the other hand what effect belting out a song (even W.L.Y) when the opposition score has.. We need to back the players to the hilt, look what has happened last 20 odd games when we did. So no grumbling from this man.

It can be daft at times in how some of our 'fans' react when we lose a game after a strong run.

It's as if life depends on LCFC being unbeaten all the time.

We do seem to be a fanbase capable of huge extremes (not necessarily people on here) that when we're doing well are talking about Champions League football, that we're the best fans in England (haha) and that Vardy is England's savior.

I love the way Ranieri talks about reaching 40 points. I wonder if he and the players will even turn up for the remaining fixtures or just nip off on holiday and leave it all to the coaching staff, Inler and the U21's with Kingy acting as captain and team spokesman. :D

What? 5 more wins and were most safe. Can see us getting 3 of those wins before new year. So far so good. January will be tough just holding on to our players.

If we hit a bad spell no dramas, we're Leicester fans, we're used to it.

I'm guessing at least 3 thread of Pearson In.........owners got it all wrong.....we'll be luck to survive the drop

no way are we getting relegated. I'm always super cautious when it comes to LCFC but not going to happen.

From here, I'll be happy with any finish over 12th, though would still be disappointed not to get top half and our highest ever Prem finish is not beyond our reach.

That said, finish 17th and Ranieri's done the business

I guess our history as a "Yo-Yo" club has really had a effect on the mental attitude of our fans, we have jumped between leagues so much and had great moments and terrible lows that we fear the slightest hiccup. The level that we are playing at now is probably the greatest in the clubs history and we are not used to it, sometimes it even seems surreal to me and i was a fan through the MON years.

A couple of loses will scare a few people on here and it is going to happen we can keep going at this level that is for sure, but 40 points is the goal and if we get that I'm happy anything else is a bonus.

So just enjoy it and be happy that you are a Leicester fan in this great period

lol it's our second year! We survive we survive project complete!

I remember the days when the word 'project' didn't exist in football.

Thing is I believe in this squad. Form is temporary but class is permanent. It's why I believed last season we could do the great escape. As long as the core of this squad stay here we will be fine regardless of what happens. I genuinely believe that

Only on foxestalk would you find a thread like this. We're playing great, but hey, lets worry about maybe being shit. Why?

It's a good balance though.
