If you were Claudio....

If I were Claudio I'd push my glasses up off my nose with my middle finger and begin sentences with "well, errrr"

I agree that we need a striker to partner Vardy, but the other important matter that Claudio should attend to is getting some new long term contracts sorted out for several of the squad.

Like who?

The whole first team have contracts up to summer 2018 apart from Morgan and Simpson who have 18 months left.

I'd be against buying current PL players.

Either we're buying someone who is deemed not good enough or making a hostile bid and paying through the nose. I'd prefer to go to Europe where bargains are easier found.

Contracts are a must.

If we don't keep this up all season, some of the big clubs will definitely come sniffing.

More defensive cover I'd like too, ship Kram and Inler on loan.

If I were Claudio I would be thinking that the chosen one who replaced me at Chelsea and lead to a lot of this tinkerman bollox always cropping up might not be looking forward to our next meeting. Personally think Chelski will come here to park the bus.

He's got to protect against complacency. Last season showed that this team is very much a confidence team, a year on, you could probably put a case across that we're just bloody class all over the field. It's about stopping the players getting ahead of themselves and preventing any suggestion of a slump. Mental toughness.

Rb, Simpson taken off against man Utd as young had him on toast, yesterday Swansea brought monwhatever his name is as they identified he was our weak link.

He just backs off way to much for me and is too easy to read.

Claudio must be able to dig out a worldly Italian right back!

That didn't happen in either game.

I'd make it essential to get Chilwells contract sorted.

Yep. Totally agree with this. It'd be criminal to see him get snapped up by Utd or someone else before he's even been given a real chance with us. I can see Fuchs keeping him out of the side for the next season and a half though.

I dont mind who we go for, but a total over reaction on this opinion on Simpson.

This team in defence is improving in every game that passes, I believe since Fuchs and Simpson

have become 1st choices is no coincidence, plus Huth and Morgan playing closer and tighter.

I wouldnt go chasing this January, unless our position might tempt a top suprise individual or two.

This forum proves that the opinions vary on players performances and future potential.

Ranieri and coaches so far are doing great work, they deserve to call the shots. Even if some

periods go against us, it will be the 1st learning curves, the whole team and manager should be

shown then the patience, not have too a detailed analyse of individual performances. The team has

got us to top 4, presently for the 2-3rd time this season top...

I'd bring in Jon Walters from stoke

don't fall out with this.

i agree with kram going on loan. surely he could play for one of the bottom teams....chelsea for instance.

Still slating Simpson I see... Don't get it. Much better defender than de Laet and hasn't done much wrong in my opinion. De Laet offers more going forward but is a liability at the back. Claudio soon recognised that and is it not working? Next season I can see it being addressed but don't think it's essential in January, and pay an extortionate price when we're not desperate.
