Len Finsbury Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Think Simpson has done a great job for us. Only position i would like to strengthen is the number 10 position and possibly a goalkeeper That's interesting. Do you think Simpson is a better fullback than Schmeichel is a goalkeeper?
filbertstreet Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Anyone been checking out Wolves games recently? Iorfa's been looking pretty good
Guest Mee-9 Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I'd love us to sign someone like Julian Korb, or Sebastian Jung.
Bamba's Babes Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 RDL is not an option at RB, he is a mess.
My Nads Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Would this be a conversation if it weren't for Simpson's personal issues? He's been quite solid overall. Most of us don't want him here. Trying to strangle his girlfriend shows what a complete twat he is. He's just a woman beating bully. He needs to be booted and replaced as soon as possible. As far as I'm concerned, there's no argument to keep him here.

I'm all for replacing him. However, we've kind of backed ourselves into a corner by not dumping him before the season started and getting a replacement at that time. It's certainly hard to root for him though and it would be nice to have a non-abuser in the team.
Gerard Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Simpson has been dealt with by a court, time for people to get off their high horses and he who is without sin........................ It wasn't admirable what he done but people are going on like he's a rapist or paedophile. I'm sure he's embarrassed and regrets the incident but he grabbed her by the throat in a temper he didn't beat her to within an inch of her life. Footballers aren't to be looked at for their virtues, most of us live, work and socialise with people who have done just as bad and worse things as Danny has. If she can forgive him so should we and stop constantly vilifying a man who has already been punished and let him get on with earning a living.

Then when they arrived he was throttling her? Think there was more to it than you make out...
adam Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I think we should just worry about what he is doing on the pitch and at the moment he has looked pretty solid and is doing a very good job .
lcfcbobby Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 To be honest I think we look sturdier at right back because Mahrez is tracking back more and has learned how to do some defensive work. I think if De Laet went back into that position he would look better then what he did at the start of the season because Mahrez is now capable of helping out and not leaving the full back behind him with 2 men all the time. But as a whole cant fault Simpson for what he is doing he has got his head down after all the crap that has happened in his personal life and not let it affect his football.
M0901 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 how many yellows is simpson on ? I don't know, but I know a yellow Simpson...
goose2010 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Didn't she call the police? Then when they arrived he was throttling her? Think there was more to it than you make out... Why? why do you think there is more? if the court didn't think there was why would you?! Ever heard of a second chance? The guy hasn't done anything wrong since he was charged and must be putting the effort in to force his way into the team.

Well its not going to happen any time soon its no coincidence that since him and Fuchs have come into the team we have stopped conceding so many. Out of interest if he scores the winner Monday night would you celebrate?
AKCJ Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 My opinion on Simpson is that justice has had it's say and that he's been given his sentence. He's playing well and I'm happy for footballers to be playing well for LCFC.

Because I take the eye witness testimony of a police officer more seriously than the changing story of a victim of domestic abuse who has probably been paid off. He obviously did i and to say "It wasn't admirable what he done but people are going on like he's a rapist or paedophile." is really playing down something which is arguably just as bad as those things.

Once again you have used the word 'probably' you cant just assume that things happen! He was found guilty and charged end of. We didn't sack him and that was the right decision. You seriously think what Simpson did was as bad as rape or being paedophile? Baffling.

No your right domestic abuse aint that bad after all, you've shown me the error of my ways.
Finnegan Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Regardless of his personal life, Simpson is probably the weakest link in a strong starting eleven at the moment. I'd still like us to replace him, even if he was a living saint.
goose2010 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 No your right domestic abuse aint that bad after all, you've shown me the error of my ways. Again at no point did I say it was bad, it is bad that's why he got charged for it, but to put it in the same bracket at Rape and Paedophilia is just ridiculous. Back to the point he is a solid right back that has a criminal record. He is apart of the team and I trust the staff that are around him day in day out, he must be doing right to get his life back on track for him to come completely out of the shadows and now one of the first names on the team sheet.

But to replace him for his personal life would be ridiculous.

It is not ridiculous to suggest that beating women up is on a similar level to raping them. If you'd have known any victims of this maybe you would have a different view. I don't care that he's playing but he is a scumbag and we shouldn't need to pretend he isn't just so we don't feel bad saying he's doing a decent job.
