Right-back situation.

I think we should just worry about what he is doing on the pitch and at the moment he has looked pretty solid and is doing a very good job .

Well no we should be worried about how the players conduct themselves off the pitch.  If Simpson was going around beating his girlfriend up and still getting in the team I'd be very concerned.  Instead he's worked his way into the starting 11 after a long time out of the squad and going through the legal process, so really he's back on the pitch because, in the more immediate past at least, he has taken the correct steps off of it.  I've decided that as long as he continues to put his womanbeating energy to good use making the sort of performances we've had from him recently recently instead of actually beating his girlfriend with it then I'm perfectly content with having him in the team.  Any more news of him physically assaulting people and he should be kicked straight out of the club though.

I was quite strong on how much I wanted him nowhere near the team, but as finners says, i'd want to replace him more on the fact of quality or lack thereof, yes he's played well but to be honest in our last two away game we probably could have played without a RB... or even a fecking goalkeeper, so I think i'd look pretty good playing there at the minute!

The ideal for me is a copy of Fuchs on the right, someone with an eye for a pass, a cross and some experience, that would be ideal.

Don't like him as a person but has been steady since he has come into the side.

Still think this is just good form and still needs replacing as he is certainly still a week link, only a matter of time until his constant backing off costs us.

I have no idea who we could get that is realistic and a significant upgrade though. They need to be reasonably defensive minded as well, not just an attacking full back like a lot tend to be now.

Carl Jenkinson on loan after his spell at West Ham?

Stuttgart's Florian Klein?

And then there's always Darijo Srna...

Florian Klein was who I was about to suggest... Fuchs might be able to put in a good word ;)

I'd never argue about the prospect of signing a better alternative for any position would I make any excuses for anyone attacking/harming a woman or child...or even a bloke really without damned good reason.

But some of our fans' self-righteousness attitudes smack of hypocrisy by giving the impression they'd never make the sort of serious mistake that would shame themselves or their friends.

That wouldn't have to be an act of violence. It could as easily be an act of deceit, disloyalty, dishonesty - something quiet and calculated. I wasn't much impressed by Pearson losing his temper so badly he suggested a fan go home and die or something similar - or some of the other nastiness that badly belittled his status.

So I wouldn't dream of labouring Simpson's misdemeanors.I'll criticise them at the time, yes, just as I'd criticise myself. I might even recall them if it were relevent to the situation.

I'll forgive and forget most things in the end ( I've needed the same at times 'though never for whacking a woman) and if Simpson's determined to mend his ways, then something good's come out of the event, including a decent full-back.Besides, some are definitely treated more equal than others when it comes to football fans' forgiveness levels.

Mind you the Kramaric situation might put his fellow compatriots off joining the great ship Leicester.

It might be also just what Kramaric needs. a friendly face from home to snap him out of himself, knuckle down to working hard and proving that he should be in the Team.

Danny Simpson is marginally better than him lol

I suppose it depends which stats you afford more weight to but I make it out the other way around.  Anyway I'm not suggesting we sign a player based on Squawka alone, he's also much better than Simpson in FM plus he's got a better youtube video.

If a lack of friendly faces is indeed the problem then it can't hurt.

That Croatian lad whose name I can't spell nor input on to my phone because of autocorrect was an absolute God for me in a previous football manager. He was my captain when Leicester won the Champions League so this is demo an omen and we should definitely gerrimin

Haven't seen any links to him at all, but in terms of someone who'd be an upgrade without being unrealistic, what about Pawel Olkowski at Köln? Has been there for a year and a half, and is playing well the past few months.

I'd be happy to go with Simpson until the summer before moving De Laet on and signing a right back then. Unless someone of real quality is available or Walsh has another gem up his sleeve we can lure in in January I see no reason to rush into the market this window.

Keep De Laat - I want to keep all our players with pace!

Happy with Simpson at the moment. Put the effort in and that's all that matters. He clearly regrets his mistakes from the past.
