Are we prepared for this?

In terms of identifying transfer targets, do you think we were prepared for the success we're having?

Are we still interested in our 40 point target players or do we already have a list of 55-60 point target players?

The owners, moved N.Pearson on.Stating they want to see progress, and want top 6 as an attainable

target. I suspect after last season, they would of been pleased to have seen us hovering around 10th,

but also well off performance and stat wise relegation battles.

How without being foolish, do you prepare for this explosive high flying position with performances.

The owners have mentioned, funds will be made available.

Now lets look at the world market....

The summer europe wise, didnt have 6-10 top clubs wafting their money around.

#Is that because of owner financial restraints, or also being wary knowing some had new managers

or re-building projects.??

#The young top players, were not so exceptional this year or just not available, in number.??

# many Owners coincidently thought we have given you millions in the last 3 yrs, squad is massive.Use it.

Clubs like city have bought reasonably well, City invested in Huth, Shinji, Kante, Benny and Fuchs.

W.Ham seemed at the time to have enticed a couple of treasures.

*One could falsely believe reading this forum on general terms, that all mentioned potential buys would be

automatic targets, and would be crazy to say no, to boot.

* We are only 15 games into the season, forget the ride we are enjoying, many of us are fearing mutiple injuries,

loss of form.It might sound ilogical, but we havent done anything or enough YET, that would entice those

special players.Oh if we stayed top 4 through to end of January, we will wake some talent up to the idea.

* Be realistic what is a 50-60pt player.??

*** Look at our situation, our past, our tradition, our geographical situ, as an outside player. Not as a fan.

** Maybe the successes of Mahrez, Kante, Fuchs could well help.

We are not a Chelsea or Man.City, not even a Liverpool or Manu, funds are different.

subtlety will be our first key word.

Hash tags, triple stars, double stars, single stars, fuchsntf, your posts are a trip.

As for the question, no idea. I would have thought we're looking at players in certain price ranges, and I doubt the price range we're looking at will have changed much.

If you're going for a higher calibre of player they don't require as much scouting as a Kanté or Mahrez might. We all know exactly what Messi or Ronaldo would bring to our team.

Mike, I find myself looking at potential transfer targets like they're banded with bling sized price tags and come with a minimum position finish guarantee :). I'm not being facetious just visualising

Ighalo £20,000000 Top 4

Is that how you are seeing it?

We'll definitely be prepared.

Even if we're not, our targets so far have done a good job so names from the same list could do equally well.

If we add one player better than what we currently have, or adds an extra dimension to us. We are going to be in a great position.

Im more worried about unsettling bids coming in for our stars, with them not veing cup tied for europe the are an attractive option in january.

In the summer we went for players "above our station".

We competed with a German Champions League club for Aranguiz, Kante wanted to go Marseille, Carillo, Inler never jumped at the chance, etc.

A lot of people were pisssing their pants at the rejections and reluctance of players to come to Leicester. I was happy that my club was ambitious in their targets and wanted the best players they could get. Even now we have been reported to be a after a £20m "wonderkid" that better rated clubs than us are interested in. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leicester-city/foxes-scout-watches-20m-rated-embolo-1990415.html#.Vm0_akqLRhE

I think we'll almost certainly be trying to punch above our weight on the transfer market again this January.

We're constantly scouting players like Kante and Mahrez and have a great network with a constantly updated database.

The difference is we will be a bigger draw and stand a much better chance of getting our top targets, it depends if we want to go for them now or wait until next season when we will know if we have European football to contend with.

Normally I hate the January window, but it's actually quite interesting to think what we'll do now.

On the one hand, you can argue that our main priority should just be to keep our best players and maintain a settled squad. On the other, we're in such a great position to invest.

I think CR has publicly said we're not looking for anyone, but clearly behind the scenes they'll be looking at targets.

For me, the main areas where we could improve: goalkeeper, right back, centre half, support striker for Vardy. But I don't think we should necessarily be trying to do it all this January.

By the way no implied criticism of current players - they are all playing excellently at the moment, just an honest assessment of what we would need to do if we wanted to strengthen the squad even further.

Why risk breaking up a side that has so far proven to be the best in this league?

One or two additions could make all the difference but isnt the January window infamous for poor quality players?

Seems inevitable form will dip, players will get injured and suspended so should we buy players just for backup?

Do we need to release/ drop players from our squad (can u do that in January?) so we have room for new ones?

I'd hope we already have targets but are just waiting to see our situation by the time the window opens.

I wonder if Chelsea could loan us Marco Amelia. Think that's a decent shout for backup GK.
