Benalouane

I'd love to be proved wrong but signing players for decent money who are around the 30 years old mark that can't get in the team is generally a bad investment.

Inler and Benalouane cost about £10m, about 30 years old and are behind Wasilewski and King in the pecking order.

It doesn't look good business so far.

We're now a big player and a bloody rich one at that in the premiership, we needed to expand our squad. We've spent 10 million on two very decent backups who are seemingly happy- only being kept out of the team due to our unbelievable form. Wouldn't say that's bad business personally, given the fact they've barely been given a chance, and the chance Benalouane has been given he's played fairly well.

if we got rid of him we would need to buy someone else who is half good yet happy enough to be fourth choice. not gonna be easy to find. bare in mind we had matthew upson doing that role last year.

Exactly, we need 2 reserve CBs of a decent standard. Who could we replace him with that would be happy to be a bit part player?

Every team has got them and you can't please everybody - you'll find that most fans can see Ranieri's point not wanting to change anything in terms of formation or personnel.

Never change a winning team, so they say.

It's an unfortunate situation for Benalouane, Inler and Kramaric alike.

At least you offer a glimpse of hope when you say that it can still come good from your point of view. In the long run, we'll be happy to have a bench full of talented individuals at hand.

We have an ageing central defence, Benny will get his chance sooner than later.

Loan him out by all means, but don't sell.

Although we haven't seen a lot of him, I'd want us to hang on to him certainly until the summer. Huth is bound to suffer from more suspensions during the season and wes will do well not to suffer the same fate.

And much tho I love wasyl. He isn't getting any younger. A year to adjust and we may see the best of benny next season.

Fuchs couldn't get a game to start with but look at him now.

We need strength in depth. I understand inler and krammy wanting loans with the euros coming up, but this move has to be a non starter without us then having someone else to come in.

Hasn't he only given away 6 fouls all season? Doubt he's going to get many if any suspensions.

If he wants to go let him u could bring back Liam Moore from his loan there is your 3rd or 4th choice. But we defo need to look for some one to challenge and push Huth and Morgan in the summer at the latest.

He was suspended Monday.

he isn't going anywhere.

Again I'm tired of those who want us to lose our depth.

I'll have a tenner with you that he misses a game via suspension before the end of the season.

Money to charity.

Not booked once in 29 games since Leicester’s last visit to Goodison Park in February, the 6ft 2ins tall tough guy has conceded just six fouls all season.

You can find my praise of his improvement elsewhere.

Just any centre half us always likely to pick up a red card or a few yellows.

Would rather it didn't as he has been immense this season.

But it's a possibility with out a doubt.

Deal. Name your charity at the end of the season.

Benny as a 3rd/4th choice is much better than Moore (or say, Upson) as 4th choice. My goodness surviving last year was truly a miracle.

Stroke Association

There you have it guys. In Black and white.

Mutual respect there.

May be a small bet. But for a good cause either way.

Back to topic.

If Mr Ranieri is serious about trying to win this division, we would be stupid to sell either Benny or Inler. Both have class and experience and will surely have a part to play.

Who cares what they cost or what they are being paid, let the owners worry about that. The fact is we need quality squad players and these guys fill the bill.

Must stay.

Wasn't a great fan of this signing and got scared he was a red card waiting to happen. But I've got to say the man and his character had really grown on me. Keep him.

Exactly this. Hard for him (and Inler) not to be playing but all successful sides are going to need fringe players that are there for when needed and unfortunately may not play as often as they'd like.
