Bayfox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I opened this expecting a breakdown of what had happened to the players in our side.
Livid Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 There but for the grace of god, some Thai billionaires and a manager who kicked us into shape!
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Did some great away days that season though. Loved Cheltenham.
Tuna Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 You should point out how dramatically Stockport have fallen, National League North. For a club like that to end up in regional football is beyond travesty. The gulf between where they are and where we are should be noted, and if memory serves me right we didn't beat them here or at Edgeley Park.

Don't see them in the news as much now but when I lived in Manchester the council were talking about buying Edgeley Park and demolishing it. Again, I enjoyed Stockport away. 0-0 draw.
4everfox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 David Martin Kerrea Gilbert Michael Morrison Jack Hobbs Bruno Berner Matt Oakley Andy King Tom Cleverley Lloyd Dyer Steve Howard Matty Fryatt Am I correct in saying that was our first 11 that season?
Captain... Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 I opened this expecting a breakdown of what had happened to the players in our side. Me too, I was just wondering the other day how Lloyd Dyer is feeling, he could have been a part of this and now he is... ...Watford reserves? Not played a minute of football this season.
Sampson Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 David Martin Kerrea Gilbert Michael Morrison Jack Hobbs Bruno Berner Matt Oakley Andy King Tom Cleverley Lloyd Dyer Steve Howard Matty Fryatt Am I correct in saying that was our first 11 that season? No Cleverley wasn't here long. Berner played most of that season in centre mid, with Joe Mattock at left-back.
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 David Martin Kerrea Gilbert Michael Morrison Jack Hobbs Bruno Berner Matt Oakley Andy King Tom Cleverley Lloyd Dyer Steve Howard Matty Fryatt Am I correct in saying that was our first 11 that season? Mattock played left full back. Cleverley only played about 15 times. Not sure how many games Mark Davies played but that must be less. Gradel played wide with Oakley and King central.
ajthefox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Not sure Dyer could've been a part of this, it wasn't his choice. He wasn't much use in his last season here.
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Dyer wouldn't have played. Not good enough. Look at what's happened to the likes of De Laet and Nugent. Renieri knows...
Tuna Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Kerrea Gilbert was playing for Maidenhead not that long ago.
Buce Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 So, if we win the title, Andy King will have a winner's medal for all three divisions. Is that unique?
Captain... Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Not sure Dyer could've been a part of this, it wasn't his choice. He wasn't much use in his last season here. He was offered a 12 month contract and turned it down so could have been here last season if he chosen to, then it would have been down to him. If he had performed and showed he was worth a place in the squad he could have earned another contract extension and been in the squad, even if he hadn't played any games he would still have been here.
Jimbo Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 Did some great away days that season though. Loved Cheltenham. Was definitely one of my favourite away days. The poor guy in the fake Liverpool shirt got some stick that day. Well up there with Walsall and the snow ball fight, which I'm sure is almost cock on 7 years ago to the day! You should point out how dramatically Stockport have fallen, National League North. For a club like that to end up in regional football is beyond travesty. The gulf between where they are and where we are should be noted, and if memory serves me right we didn't beat them here or at Edgeley Park. Scary the difference between us now. Can't really remember the home game but the away game was a frustrating 0-0 wasn't it? Stood on the terraces pretty much right in the middle of the goal
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 So, if we win the title, Andy King will have a winner's medal for all three divisions. Is that unique? Surely it has to be (with the same team)? What a story for his grandkids!
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 So, if we win the title, Andy King will have a winner's medal for all three divisions. Is that unique? Doubt it. Someone will have done it. Players like Steve Bruce that came from the lower leagues will have achieved something similar.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 where are the players now? That would be quite interesting
Nalis Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 If memory serves me right Scunthorpe sneaked into the play offs at the expense of Tranmere.
Hammered Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 1 Leicester City – 1st in Premier League 5 Millwall – 6th in League One
Jimbo Posted 4 February 2016 Posted 4 February 2016 where are the players now? That would be quite interesting Martin is at MK Dons Mark Bunn who saved a penalty for us against Bristol Rovers (Lambert didn't miss many) saved a penalty against us a few weeks ago for Villa. is Jack Hobbs still at forest with Fryatt? Berner, Oakley and Howard all retired. Morrison at Brum? King still with us and Cleverly and Gradel in the premier league with Everton and Bournemouth. Judging by how good Gilbert actually was he's probably stacking shelves at Morrisons
