Sampson Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I know we had this poll earlier in the season, but it'd be interesting to see how people's opinions have changed. Especially as the team of the year and PFA POTY votes get done in February/March time and you'd expect a few of our players to be very strong in the running for that. I think our club POTY will be a very close 3-horse race, so it'll be interesting to see where people are leaning with it for now.
AKCJ Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 nowt like an of the season poll when we've played just two thirds of one.
Sampson Posted 7 February 2016 Author Posted 7 February 2016 nowt like an of the season poll when we've played just two thirds of one. Like I said, I'm interested in how our fans view the players now because this is about where the PFA POTY and TOTY get voted for! Obviously it doesn't mean it'll be the same come May.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 So difficult. You could make a case for nearly all of them. I've gone for Kante because our style of play relies so heavily on turnovers and when it comes to that side of things he is just superhuman.
Grewks Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Has to be Kante. Vardy, Mahrez and Drinkwater couldn't perform to the level they have without him.
Lestoh Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Vardy. Kante has been sensational, but where would we be without goals? He's broken the consecutive scoring record, made the England national team and is current top goalscorer in the league. He epitomises our season.
ScouseFox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 mahrez is our best player. it could go to riyad, vardy, kante, drinkwater, morgan, fuchs (schlupp if you're col) and nobody would have any arguments. but riyad is special.
ScouseFox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Has to be Kante. Vardy, Mahrez and Drinkwater couldn't perform to the level they have without him. the reverse is true which is why we are such a good team. kante would only look average if he broke up play and then passed the ball to josh low or chris wood.
gerrytaggart Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Such an embarrassment of riches....dont know who to vote for at this stage!!
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I've gone for DD as when he didn't play you could tell we were missing something. Same could be said for the others but I don't want to find out about that.
STUHILL Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Most important player = Kante Most talented player = Mahrez Player of the Year = Vardy, for breaking the record and for setting the tempo we play at every game with desire and enthusiasm.
ithuriel Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Jeez, this is a hard ask, seriously, who do you pick from such a team? I suppose thus far Vardy, for not missing one league game even though carrying injuries and breaking that goals record, plus having 18 league goals with 13 games to go.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Due to the short amount he has been here, massive impact from the off. I voted for Kante.
HighPeakFox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I went Kante, on another day I say Vardy. Or Mahrez. Or.......you get the idea.
dedlock Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 The player of the year has to be Mahrez,he may be footballer of the year ,the journalist's award. Despite Riyad's magic, the competing claims of JV ,N'G,DD etc, there is another candidate. He came in the summer, fitted in with the tight knit dressing room and solved a problem position. Christian Fuchs may be a national team captain but he has shown no ego,an enthusiasm for the team, fitted in seamlessly and performed well. When was the last post about our vulnerability at LB?
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 This is almost like who is your favourite child? I voted Vardy but then thought that's not fair on Kante and then I thought of Mahrez and then Fuchs, then Danny Drinkwater, then Morgan, what about Fuchs, Simpsons had a great season, I can't believe I didn't think of Albrighton and so it continues. Absolutely impossible decision at the moment.
Buggsteam Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Tough one to call and all though whole team have been amazing this season I think it comes down to the three winning the pole. Kante has been the engine in our team and breaks up so much play and gets us on the counter attack. Mahrez is just a magician with his play and on his day he is unstoppable. Vardy with his closing down and non stop running and 18 goals has been amazing. For me so far it would have to be......... VARDY play of the season. VARDY goal of the season against Liverpool. KANTE young play of the season Mahrez just missing out
Fox92 Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 It's too tough to choose. Kante, Drinkwater, Fuchs, Morgan, Huth, Vardy and Mahrez have all been superb.
My Nads Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Vardy for me. Just before his op, when he wasn't right, we looked like a totally different side. We can make a case for almost every one of our players, but Vardy is by far the most important player in our team. We play the way we do, because we have Vardy.
Gerard Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Kante is superb but I can't fathom why anyone would vote for him over Mahrez or Vardy. Goals & assists are the commodity that matters in football and Mahrez & Vardy have them by the bucket load. Mahrez for me as his goals and assists from wide midfield in a 4-4-1-1 is absolutely phenomenal.
ARM1968 Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Kante all day long for me. Vardy and Mahrez have been awesome in general but missing sometimes for various reasons. Kante has been consistently unbelievable since breaking in to the side. He really has to be one of the best midfielders on the planet.
