Hollism Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I think I'd take 6 points from almost any three given games to be honest. Anyone who's unhappy with the return from the last three is nuts. Though, I did say on the way up to Manchester last week that I'd have preferred a point against both Man City and Arsenal, than 3 from City and 0 from Arsenal.
ScouseFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 fu ck the bigger picture, football and being a football fan is all about living in the moment. last week the moment was sheer euphoria, this week it's gutting. "the bigger picture" is the league table at the end of may. right here right now i'm gutted we only got 6 points from this three game run, because we already had 6 points before kick off and we had 9 at half time.

Buce Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 More than happy. We've just taken six points out of three games that most of us would have been reasonably content taking three from. And I don't buy into the suggestion that this will hurt us - this team has heart and desire to burn, and I confidently expect us to go on another winning run from here. In fact, I expect we will remain unbeaten for the remainder of the season.
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2016 Author Posted 14 February 2016 Being a football fan is barely about the football at all. If it was I'd have stopped bothering years ago. classic ! And correct
Biggus Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Yes I said i would be happy with 5 from 9.....an best to get that game with the last minute twist out of the system.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Don't think the players will be happy and we shouldn't be either Deserved at least 7 out of 9 Cheated #embarrasingcheatsarsenal
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2016 Author Posted 14 February 2016 Players getting a week off and can go where they want and have some family time Let's hope that refreshes them for the next big push I suspect then were weighed out today and given a target to weigh in at next Monday otherwise huth would be found dead in a KFC from gout
dpjfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 i was being pessemstic prior to the 3 games thinking 3 points ok, the title race is close but would you swap positions with any team??
Izzy Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I suppose I should be happy, but I'm not. We never looked in danger of losing today until the sending off. The points lost today could prove vital at the end of the season. Yeah perspective, big picture and all that. But right now I'm still fvckin fuming...
crisp packet Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Very happy. What ever we dream of? It's in our hands .
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2016 Author Posted 14 February 2016 i was being pessemstic prior to the 3 games thinking 3 points ok, the title race is close but would you swap positions with any team?? Not a hope
ThaiFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 After losing to Arsenal 2-5, we went on to get 27 points from the next 12 games. That would give us 80 points if we could repeat that, and would mean both the Arse-nal and Tottingham would need 30, and Man City would need 34 points to overtake us! Let's hope today's setback is taken as a positive by the squad, by looking at how we turned things around after that 2-5 loss. Another positive today is the spotlight will certainly fall on the London outshites (sorry, outfits) a lot more.
Sindidragon Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Wagner with Buce we will go on an unbeaten run now and win the Barclays Premier League.
coolcol Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 5 seconds away from 7 points outta 9 v Liverpool, City and Arsenal...not happy about the final outcome of today's match...but satisfied ? ...ABSOLUTELY
Karljohn Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Will be absolutely fine if midfield starts to help out with the goal tally. Also need to use Albrighton more, he was in space today a few times. We are still averaging 2 points a game, europa league will finish spurs.
weller54 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Wagner with Buce we will go on an unbeaten run now and win the Barclays Premier League. Robert Wagner And Buce Forsyth???
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2016 Author Posted 14 February 2016 Robert Wagner And Buce Forsyth??? Wagner off xfactor ? And Buse Lee ?
Monsell1976 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 What a few weeks on the road and at home We got 6 points the 9 points over last 3 games and we remain top I'm pretty sure 100% of us would have taken that before the games started Our team never die and it took a sending off to beat us We have become a huge threat to the big boys and the reference point for that fact was visible after the game today , Arsenal did a lap of honour ! A lap of honour for beating 10 men Leicester City in 95th minute Wow we are now HUGE ! The next 3 games Norwich , west brom and Watford ...what's the "I'll be happy with that" point total from those 3 matches ? 7 or 9 ? Very happy with where we are, hard work starts here, playing teams scrapping for survival.Just hope today doesn't dent the players believe and confidence.
GaelicFox Posted 14 February 2016 Author Posted 14 February 2016 Very happy with where we are, hard work starts here, playing teams scrapping for survival. Just hope today doesn't dent the players believe and confidence. Yea your right the dangerous teams as we proved last year are those in trouble ! They get a week off with wife's and kids it's half term and I suspect lots of dubai breaks are being booked tonight Come Norwich the game today will seem a life time ago
Leicester_Numan Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Considering that I had us down for 5 points from the 3 and possibly not being top, I've got to be pleased with the eventual outcome but it really feels like we've been robbed of at least a point and I'm still fuming about the manner of the defeat.
stripeyfox Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Six points is a great return. We didn't get spanked by Arsenal and should have got a point but for some ill disciplined foul in the last minute We don't look like getting rolled over We are still top We have two weeks rest coming up I think yesterday's results have shifted the pressure back towards Tottenham somewhat.
goose2010 Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 would of taken 3 from 9 before the games happy we got 6. Still top none of the top 4 to play. I think the result yesterday will help them kick on if we had won complacency could of kicked in (I will always look for a positive me!!) but I think we will bounce back against Norwich. I imagine a few will go on holiday for a few days now recharge the batteries and kick on! nothing more dangerous than a wounded beast!
