Gerard Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 60% as well. Too many people are far too cocky about our chances as if it's virtually a done deal and only a disaster could stop us winning it. Even on Radio Leicester last night one of the fan guests thought we'd win it with three games to go. I'm anticipating Tottenham winning their last seven games and anything less than that is a bonus. They've probably been the best side in the country this season and are very capable of doing it. If they do that we need to win six of our last seven or W5 D2 L0. It's almost as much in their hands as it is ours barring mathematically.

Gerard Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 Barring mathematically If Tottenham win their last seven then they win the title 95% of the time.
foxfanazer Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 If Tottenham win their last seven then they win the title 95% of the time. They've lost more games than us this season so what makes you think they have as much chance as us who have a 5 point lead? Bizarre logicIf they win all seven then they'd probably win it..... but they won't

Bizarre logic If they win all seven then they'd probably win it..... but they won't Since the end of August they've accumulated the same points as us. Did you know that we're only going to be odds on in one match of our final seven? That's six games when the bookies will have us under a 50% chance of winning. We could quite easily be behind Tottenham after the Sunderland match, it doesn't take a sequence of remarkable events for it to happen. Five points can easily be swallowed up with seven games to go. We're in the box seat for sure but where all this huge self confidence comes from I really don't know. Also I never said they have as much chance as us but they have a sizeable chance for sure. Leicester 60% Spurs 24% Arsenal 15% Others 1%

Gerard Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 We could also be 11 clear though! Don't think we will like but it could happen. I'm aware of that but at the moment it's ours to lose so I'm more interested in what could go wrong than what could go right. If we were 5pts behind and in Tottenham's position I'd be thinking if things went our way we could easily catch the team that's top. I just feel too many Leicester fans expect us to win and it's only a matter of time until we win it rather than accepting we're in a dogfight and victory is far from certain. I'm sure Ranieri and the players aren't this cocksure about it which is the main thing.

In fact I still won't think it's done if I'm watching Wes hold the trophy!

Yours is all if buts and maybes

foxfanazer Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 Of course it's ifs, buts and maybes, that's entirely my point. I have confidence but it's not absolute. Nothing ever is mate but especially as a Leicester fan. I just look at this group of players and how determined and together they are and trust that they'll bring it home. I'm usually the cautious type but we are witnessing something really special
LanguedocFox Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 I think one interesting aspect of the "belief" we fans have in our chances of winning the league is the age of the person you ask. I may be wrong, but I think fans over a certain age (maybe 50) are so inured to our past failings that we have, built into our psyche, the feeling that if it can go wrong, it will. It's not really the same as being pessimistic, and it certainly doesn't imply any lack of pride in the current team/set-up/ownership. It's more a bottomless dread that, because it has happened so often before, a fvck-up must be just around the corner. Speaking as someone who remembers the end of the 62-53 season like it was 53 years ago, I hope I am wrong.

I reckon most football fans have it.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Given that we haven't had any injuries in the international (with the possible exception of Kasper), it's creeping up. from 66 to 70%.

fuchsntf Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I'm over 60..I just keep believing, in all things are possible. If not now then later, but this season is the time for 'NOW'
Heskey2011 Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 55%. As a Leicester fan I'm still not convinced we won't lose the next 5. This

ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 If Tottenham win their last seven then they win the title 95% of the time. spurs ain't won 7 league games in a row since 1967. obviously they've got a massive chance if they win 7 league games in a row but that's a stupidly hard task and a crazy way of looking at things. that'd be like sitting here in august saying "well, yknow, if spurs win all 38 games this season they'll finish above us". yeah, no shit, but it's not gonna happen.

They won their last 2 as well, so winning the remaining games would mean they'd have won 9 on the spin... they're good, but they're not that good.

They're not going to think we can't win our next game because we've won our last 6, if anything it'll give them move confidence. It's one game at a time for them same as it is for us.
