Nick Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I've never support Liverpool and Man U before but this week and next I'm a bloody Red.
ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 They're not going to think we can't win our next game because we've won our last 6, if anything it'll give them move confidence. It's one game at a time for them same as it is for us. yeah obviously, but they haven't won more than 6 games in a row for basically 50 years. seems odd to just assume they will now just casually win their last 9 games of a season under pressure they've never experienced before. sure it could (but probably won't) happen, it just seemed a strange way of looking at things in terms of how confident anyone would be that we might win the league.
Leeds Fox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 They're not going to think we can't win our next game because we've won our last 6, if anything it'll give them move confidence. It's one game at a time for them same as it is for us. I know that, if anything winning the previous games has a positive effect on the upcoming games. I was just furthering what Scouse said. We're in as good form as they are, and I can't see us winning the next 7. I feel the complex of the final fixtures will change with the pressure of what could be, from both sides in each fixture. We'll just have to wait and see how everyone copes, and I can't bloody wait!
Haydos Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I think one interesting aspect of the "belief" we fans have in our chances of winning the league is the age of the person you ask. I may be wrong, but I think fans over a certain age (maybe 50) are so inured to our past failings that we have, built into our psyche, the feeling that if it can go wrong, it will. It's not really the same as being pessimistic, and it certainly doesn't imply any lack of pride in the current team/set-up/ownership. It's more a bottomless dread that, because it has happened so often before, a fvck-up must be just around the corner. Speaking as someone who remembers the end of the 62-53 season like it was 53 years ago, I hope I am wrong. Try 25.
ARM1968 Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Also seems a bit strange writing such things off this season of all seasons eh Scouse? When did we last do this well in the PL
ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Also seems a bit strange writing such things off this season of all seasons eh Scouse? When did we last do this well in the PL the nature of this season shows that it's even less likely for spurs to win all of their last 9 games, surely? the whole "rubbish teams are actually quite good" that's going on means it's even less likely they are to go on their best streak for 49 and a half years, no? obviously there's been some pretty big shocks this season and we're not guaranteed to win the title. but the way we lose the title will be because we slip up too many times, not because spurs win 9 games in a row (including 3 or 4 very tough fixtures). and even if they did win 9 games in a row, we will still win the league if we get the right results. we're gonna win it chill out have a party get the beers out.
fuchsntf Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I'll get you Rachel's phone number. Too late...already got it.
ScouseFox Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 so Spurs couldn't even win the first of their last 7 let alone all 7 nice

foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 I'm at 90, win tomorrow that goes to 95% , draw stays at 90 defeat 85%
Nalis Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Would probably put things at 65% us, 20% Spurs, 14.9% Arsenal, 0.1% Everyone else
Buce Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 It has reached the stage where if we don't win the title, I will feel deflated. Imagine that - disappointed with second.
Izzy Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 60% tops. Still plenty of points to play for and anything can still happen. Someone always comes with a late surge and our luck with injuries can't continue forever. And we've got two tough away games to finish. And, we're Leicester. A month on, and I'm up to 80%. Today's win was massive after Spurs' draw yesterday.
