Sunday Times To Reveal Doping Scandal

Non story... This is the final straw, spurs draw they have no chance so they are trying to disrupt the team now

Regardless of what you think of the story that's a ridiculous statement lol

Watch out for the performance enhancing doughnuts 2moro.

Apparently we ground up Richard III, and the lads have been snorting him before every game. That's proper King Power for you!

To be honest, regardless of the veracity of these particular allegations, I have no doubt at all that this sort of thing is rife across all top level sport. No reason at all why football wouldn't be the same. And the argument I've seen slewhere, that English clubs would somehow be immune from this sort of culture is ****ing laughable. It will probably never come out properly. THE PRODUCT is too precious for the likes of UEFA or the Premier League (who will be aware) to accept the sullying of its reputation through exposure. Pretty sure match fixing will be happening all over the place as well. The possible financial rewards are too big for it not to be.

It's the inclusion of Kanté in that guy's tweet that settles my nerves, not a chance he's dirty.  Reckon it's the case that there's a kernel of truth here (ie. this doctor has been involved in doping to some extent) and he's thrown a few outstanding players' names in to impress a potential client knowing the client won't check with the players themselves.  Can believe a thug like Alli would potentially not be legit and that image of Mahrez with his throbbing veins from earlier in the season springs to mind making me just a little nervous.  Just as speculative as everything else being said though I'd like to stress very, very strongly.

My two cents: the doctor has, in my opinion, just done some name-dropping to show how good he is, which doesn't mean he actually has ever done what he claims he did. By the way, the article claims that "Banned substances that were allegedly prescribed included erythropoietin (EPO), steroids and human growth hormone".

I don't know about HGH, but EPO and steroids are among the easiest and most obvious substances to find in a test. So I think it's pretty unlikely that he is some kind of a "Doping Wizard" who can give his patients something which is undetectable and effective. More probably, that's just a big pile of BS.

Anyway, I think this just bad journalism and nothing else. So stop with these concpiracy theories about Tottenham trying to disrupt LCFC: the finish line is close, keep calm and go Foxes.

I don't know where actual names are coming from, I quickly scanned the supposed article because I don't really give trash my time but didn't see any players named as such...

I'm throwing out some pure speculation here, but putting some shit together and see what happens. I don't think any professional first team premier league footballer would jeopardise their career with anything illegal and particularly anything that can be easily detected like HGH or anabolic steroids especially with the amount of drug testing.

I can believe an academy player who is struggling with the physical demands of the game whilst developing could be tempted to take PEDs as they know they will not be tested at that age, now some of those players could end up playing for us. Thus any claims that Doctor Boner treated a Leicester player could be true, but have no connection to the club but to a player that we signed.

Utter bollocks.

So the good Doctor didn't advertise his illegal services as he didn't want unwelcome media scrutiny.

Then he was prepared to tell all to a stranger ??

It appears from the allegations that he's talking about "clients" from around 2010, some of who were Premier League Footballers.

It's now the 2016 season and doping in Sport allegations sells tabloids, INCLUDING the Sunday Times who have a history of breaking Sporting doping scandals.

However, the timing, lack of detail and corrobaration makes me think that the story is a deliberate attempt to suggest foul-play in the current season.

I'm sure the club will be looking at this.

After all for the financial stakeholders at any club, football is now as much about exploiting the commercial opportunities of a successful "brand" off the pitch as it is about points won and league positions gained on the pitch.

Too good to be true, Too good to be true,

We're Leicester City, we're laughing at you.

The scenes when it turns out the ST decided they didn't want to let the technicality of publishing on the 3rd make their editorial staff miss out on some April fool's fun.

If that's the case then why did they mention arsenal? If they win there game in hand then they are 1 point behind tottenham. And also mention Birmingham City? It isn't aimed at us or trying to derail us. That's just paranoia.

You really think this bloke would make up 4 clubs he mentioned? In my opinion this story is true. He's not going to just make it all up. If it was made up then im pretty sure he wouldn't mention Birmingham City. He would have said man United or someone

thats if it isn't a lie as well

gdl9050,

No it's NOT aimed at US (you and me), that would be akin to paranoia

.

It does however link certain players (un-named) from certain clubs (named) to illegal use of performance enhancing drugs.

A previous manager of the club might ask if you aren't exhibiting certain stereotypical ostrich-like behaviour if you honestly think the content and the timing are pure co-incidence.

Guaranteed to call in to question in SOME people's minds how we have turned from relegation threatened to league leaders, it's not the first time in the current season it's been suggested now is it ?

Troll.

Right. Im a Troll for believing there's doping in football? Im guessing you would believe the story if our club wasn't mentioned...
