ErNanna Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Totthenam has nothing to lose today, no pressure in my opinion. I hope they will play underestimating Stoke...
Sharpe's Foxes Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 I was supremely confident that we would win the title by drawing with West ham and beating Swansea and Everton. Spurs would win 4 and draw with Chelsea however after how they played against man city and hiddink saying he will play youth the rest of the season I am slightly worried! Am I right in saying if we win our 2 home games and draw the 2 away we win it regardless? I believe so. That is where the point is important. That is probably the most realistic without Vardy. Of course if we lose even one game then we would have to win the remaining 3 otherwise we would need Spurs to falter and it would be out of our control.

norfolkfox222 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 remember when we last drew with West Brom, Spurs played west ham to 'close the gap' and lost. Lets hope for a repeat and a lacklustre Spurs performance!!
Lionator Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Stoke have been completely inconsistent all season so realistically they could turn up tonight and do a job on Spurs.
Jimbo Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 If they lose tonight and we win our next game then anything other than a spurs win next week means it's all over. I do actually think the pressure on them to go out and win is greater and hopefully it could have an affect in our favour. Just can't see it though, the true pessimistic leicester fan inside me just can't see them losing another game
Foxbythesea Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 As long as Spuds don't win today I'm happy. If they lose I think we will win the leauge. Come on Stoke!

Am I right in saying if we win our 2 home games and draw the 2 away we win it regardless? At least a weakened Chelsea side would make our last game easier. Spurs could drop points in any of their other remaining games. Saints are a good side, Stoke and West Brom are both capable of upsets, and Newcastle away on the last day could actually be a tough match - they looked better on Saturday, and could well be fighting for their lives on the last day. Benitez might have turned them into a decent team by then.
ArcspacE Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 I worry that the pressure on Spurs will be irrelevant. We have one kind of game plan but they have so many and can change it up at the drop of a hat. It's going to be white knuckle from here if we're to nick the league
bne123 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Spurs are rubbish. They aren't challenging for the league this season or any other season. They will do a Liverpool and after coming second will slide back into midtable below their beloved "Woolwich". We will do the same but the difference is we will have gold badges, the most amazing season ever and the right number of chromosomes. REALLY ? Spurs are not challenging for league this season ? You probably should be living in a alternate reality world. Like it or not, they are challenging - if they win tonight at Stoke, they are within just 5 points; Taking my Leicester glasses off for a moment - they are not rubbish either. Arsenal are rubbish this season. Not Spurs. They have played well (not against us though) & have far superior GD than us. Also, dont think they will be sliding down like Liverpool. Liverpool's success was built around 1 player. Spurs have strength in defense & attack. So, sorry, as much as we want to see Spurs slide down, its not going to happen. Infact, I see them only as more dangerous next season - when every other top side (aside from us) would be rebuilding.
ARM1968 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Unfortunately I think Spurs are on the cusp of a few years of greatness. It will only be derailed when Poch leaves. Great manager and a terrific squad being built. It might be us sinking a bit after this season. However, as I said earlier in this thread. The pressure on Tottenham tonight is massive. They simply have to win. No mistakes allowed.
bne123 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Today is a big day. If Stoke win, that gives us some breathing space. We can afford to draw against Swansea without Vardy. But if Spurs do get the 3 points, its going to be difficult game against Swansea. We have to tactically change our game without Vardy. Instead of sitting back & countering, we have to play different. Onus will be on us to attack. Pressure is now on Spurs to get a result. But if they do, it does come straight back to us.

Moksky Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Nothing changed for Spurs they have to win their last 5 games and how for us not to win ours. They can't afford slips as we have points in the bag.
bne123 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Are you the joker then? More like the Ostrich - bury the head into sands...
David Hankey Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Nothing has changed. Spurs are still playing catch up and by another point as we stand. I'm appalled by all the so-called Leicester City fans who think our season is over. What a sad, depressing lot. The glass is half full!!
Mark7 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Permutations 1: Spurs win... move on to 68 points... Max possible: 80. We need 8 from our last four 2: Spurs draw... 66 points... Max possible: 78. 6 points needed 3: Spurs lose... 65 points... Max possible: 77. 5 points needed Note: Once we get to 76 Man City and Arsenal are no longer in contention, since their maximum possible points is 75.

We're still going to do it. We'll get over the line. No dramas.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Man city and Arsenal play each other so if one teams wins the other cannot catch us. If it's a draw we need one point to ensure at least 3rd place.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Nothing has changed. Spurs are still playing catch up and by another point as we stand. I'm appalled by all the so-called Leicester City fans who think our season is over. What a sad, depressing lot. The glass is half full!! West Ham was arguably the toughest game left, we weren't going to win every game and I don't think Spurs will either... a point against West Ham especially in the manner we got it was a good result .
TrentFox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 WHU was a tremendously tough game. But I don't see ManU and Chelsea - both away - being any easier. And there is uncertainty over the availability of our leading scorer and game-changer. The pressure on us for our two home games is huge in my head.
LJS Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 The pressure on Spurs is what it was before yesterday's game. We are in a very good position indeed. Spurs need to win every remaining match. If they draw just one, we only need two wins to seal the title. You'd have to have us as favourites for both our remaining home games and I think we'll beat Chelsea too. United is the one I can see us losing. A draw at home to a good West Ham side is not a bad result for us at all. I'd probably have taken it before the game. Only the circumstances around the match make it feel a bad result. We are as we were; win our home games and we win the league. Win another on top of that and Spurs can do what they like.
Mark7 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 We're averaging 2.15 points per game. Spurs are averaging 1.97. They have to up their average by 0. 18 points to even catch up
