What's Wrong With People?

No they'll have been the best over 38. :D

It doesn't matter what order it comes in. Did we deserve to finish bottom last season because that's where we were for most of it? Bastards, only being good for the last nine games.

Stop ruining it for me I'm trying to convince myself we are the best team in history no matter what lol

We're going to win the league, don't worry.

I am trying to be positive, I really am but after forty some years of generally heartache and disappointment it's not easy. I've got that feeling I get when England are in a penalty shoot-out. You support with everything you can but there's an inevitability because we're England, because we're Leicester. Mates of mine who support some of the "big four" can't understand my negativity, but they've tasted it and they know they'll taste it again. This is most likely the one shot I've got in my lifetime so I'm bound to be nervous, and no-one should knock anyone who is. If you can plough on with complete positivity then fair play to you. I don't know how the feck you are doing it. I'll be supporting again on Sunday but I can't get rid of the nagging doubt. It's Leicester and things of this magnitude just don't happen. God I hope someone can throw this post back in my face in a few weeks. In the meantime give me some tips on keeping positive as Spuds are finishing like a steam train and the Vardy thing has got to me. "Come on Leicester, come on......."

If we don't win the league now it will be the worst feeling I have ever felt. We just need to match Spurs' next three results and its ours but how jammy would it be if Spurs didn't spend a single day at the top of the table only to snatch it on the last day, it would be the must unjustified title win in history. We deserve this a lot more then they do.

I don't think it will be the most unjustified win in history mate. If you look at Spurs season stats they are first for absolutely everything it is possible to be first in footballing terms so they would say they 'deserved' to win it. Having said that stats mean f-all if your not top of the league at the end and we are 5 points (that's a 2 game swing with 4 to go - have a think about that) clear and I am confident that we will be sitting proud at the top of the pile come season close.

Hi guys. Blackburn Rovers fan in peace.

Just wanted to chip in my 2 pennies worth from a fan of the last "non big club" to win the Premiership - 21 long years ago (Jesus).

Although on paper Spurs have an easy run-in including games against teams that will potentially roll over like Stoke did tonight. You never really know what's going to happen. As in 1995 nobody thought a West Ham team with nothing to play for would put in such an immense performance to stop the Man Ure. Similarly Man Ure fans were saying Liverpool would roll over on the last day *(for those that remember they actually beat us 2-1). In the most part they are professional players and I don't think Spurs will win all 4. West Brom can be plucky, I can even imagine a Chelsea team that seem like they are already on their summer holidays plucking up for the Spurs game and even Newcastle on the last game of the season (if they have to get a result to stay in the Premier league at home - they will simply have to be up for that).

As for yourselves. Come on. It's not like you're suddenly going to become a terrible team for the remaining games. Even the toughest games on paper Man Ure and Chelsea away - you can get something from at least one of those games. Also Ranieri knows what he's doing so he'll have his tactics down to a T and I'm sure you have a fairly decent striker to replace Vardy (certainly comparatively better than our Chris Brown).

I've watched all your games for the past 2 months and it kinds of brings back memories of 1995. So I'll be routing for you as will many others.

It's in your hands, and if Spurs get even closer they'll probably start to feel even more pressure as so far they haven't really been under any - it's just been a case of let's see if we can get close. They will tighten up just as much as you guys.

I reckon 6 points ought to do it.

KEEP THE FAITH.

Sorry to join a be a Debbie downer but I cant see Spurs losing a single match and I can see the pressure getting to us in the next 2 matches. Its the small teams that are the worry. I think we will lose against Swansea and then draw Everton. The dream was good while it lasted. :( I have accepted 2nd or 3rd place. Best people do the same so they dont get depressed when it happens. At least we are going to Europe yes small consolation but many would have given their right nut if they were told at the start of the season we would end up 2nd. Oh well we did try roll on 2017 and lets see if we can fight again for Europe.

I must admit, after Spurs' second against Stoke I felt my mood drop. Living out in the middle on nowhere with only friends who support traditional big clubs force feeding me shit about 'you've thrown it away' and 'you'll be fighting for 13th next season'. It does rub you thin. I don't live in Leicester anymore, I'm the only Leicester fan in my family and I've been left the citeh so long I don't have any proper mates who are fans. So, every week the drama is played out on my own in the car, rushing home from work, on the sofa, via Twitter - fighting for every scrap of information on how the games going and traveling on this journey with you all like some strange kid with his face pressed up against the tank at feeding time. I only get to about 2-4 games a year, so this place and the spirit of people; the rational thinkers and the never say die posters are a great help when I feel like a Leicester fan on a desert island with nothing but Brian Clough and Robbie Savage for company.

I read the other forums from time to time, especially after things like the West Ham game to see what the other side thought about proceedings and most of the time I am shocked. One of the West Ham forums after the 2-2 was surreal. Posters turning on each over, the manager the players and all with the theme that we were a kick and rush side full of thugs and cheats. If there is one thing I am proud of it's where I am from and the people from that place and the reading on here, even when negative is a dam sight more upbeat than most and I don't think we bang on too much about the opposition in comparison with other clubs' fans. Which I am very proud of.

So, just to say thank to all the positive posters out there, you fill me back up with hope every time I feel edgy about this title race and I always come off with a smile on my face. ooo' err'' Misses!

LOVE THIS CLUB, LOVE OUR FANS AND WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE AND GOING NOWHERE!!!!

We drew a good west ham side when everybody said this would be our toughest test of the 5 games. Spurs will feel the pressure more from the press and from their fans. We are rock solid and will get the job done through sheer desire and teamwork. Forget spurs, our boys will dig deep inside to take the finish line in 1st place

This season is turning me into a wreck , I literally spend every spare minute calculating how many points we will get and every possible outcome of matches I can think of , I stare at the league table daily and I can't take it anymore.

I think if we start losing at least I can get my nervous system back to normal while we get back to looking at the league table without the danger of a nose bleed .

On a serious note we need to stop looking at Spuds and worry about the job in hand , game by game , W,D,W,D for the last 4 games and we will have done it.

I think the gap will remain at 5 points after this weekends games. Cant see them slipping up and can see us winning. The tricky one for them is Chelsea away, cant see Chelsea just doing a Stoke and turning up for a training session. If Spurs draw, likely imo, we win against Everton and it is curtains.

Chill out people.

Fabregas was on MNF and said he wants us to win. So does John Terry and a few other lads who've been at Chelsea for years. I actually think Chelsea will turn up against Tottenham.

I agree and think spurs will be freaking at the prospect of what will happen if they lose that match. Pressure cooker for them and hopefully this will be their demise. Never mind them though COYB's

As usual, the reactions are all or nothing. Such is FT.

The REALITY is this:

Spurs are a very good side AND look to be currently on great form. They've turned over Stoke who we all know can be good.

We ARE missing Vardy. He's the top scorer in the best league on the planet. Any team would miss him.

However...we are still clear, so Spurs are chasing us. We are in the driving seat. Swansea at home is not the toughest game in the world and Man Utd under Louis are bang average.

Keep supporting the team ffs! It's still ours for the losing.

The problem is that Spurs don't look like losing. They have the best attack in the league and the best defence. They just scored 7 in the last two games without conceding a goal themselves. Over their last 5 games they've scored 13 and let in only 1. They aren't just winning games like we have been until West Ham, but they've been sweeping them aside. Even if their opponents turn up for their games and aren't already at the beach, if Spurs play like they have the last few of games then I don't think any of the teams they play are going to be able to stop them winning. So I am assuming that Spurs will finish on 80 points. That means we need to finish on 81 points because their goal difference is +39 and ours is quite far behind.

So we need 8 points to win the title. We have four games, two are away to big clubs. Vardy is going to miss the next game as a minimum, so it couldn't happen at a worse time. Basically what this means is we need to either win 3 of those 4 games, or win two and draw the other two. When I think about that, I do not feel good. We are hard to beat, but can we really do that? I am worried that we can't. We just can't afford another slip up. And yes, it was a slip up yesterday. We were set to win that game 1-0 or more, but the sending off, which could have been avoided, meant we threw two points away basically. I'm just scared we are going to throw it away.

the people that go to games are like that mate and happy. but on the internet 99% of the fans never been to a game and live somewhere else and are so negative and chat absolute nonsense. the way people chat on the site and the way people chat at the stadium is night and day, totally different.

I'm curious as to how we've done without Vardy on the pitch this season. It has happened a few times, what with being subbed off and so on. It'd be interesting to see how we shaped up, and how we got on.

It was our first supposed slip up since 1st March against West Brom.

Yesterday we drew with 10 men for 35 mins.

We haven't lost since 14 February when we had 10 men for 40 mins at the Emirates

Bar WBA the last time we dropped points with 11 men on the field was Villa away on 20 January. And we missed a penalty that day.

Until the season ends, we should refrain from mentioning Villa Away or Bournemouth.
