What's Wrong With People?

I won't lie - I am a little disappointed Stoke didn't show more fight this evening and once again, that twerp Harry Kane scored.

However, for all their gloating, they (Spurs) haven't got what we have and that is a never-say-die attitude. Anyone who thought this would be easy, I'm sorry to say was probably a little naive yet I still think we can do this.

Call me bitter but if we don't win the league now then the best team over the course of the season won't be the winners of the Premier League.

I'm not calling you bitter. I'm calling you wrong.

I think the gap will remain at 5 points after this weekends games. Cant see them slipping up and can see us winning. The tricky one for them is Chelsea away, cant see Chelsea just doing a Stoke and turning up for a training session. If Spurs draw, likely imo, we win against Everton and it is curtains.

Chill out people.

I've been wary that we could still end up 2nd all along, and maybe those who were planning the open top bus tour when we beat Norwich were a tad premature, but we are still in a fantastic position.

Rather be us than Spurs.

I'm hoping Chelsea turn up, they don't like Spurs so I feel they will want to win that one for sure.

Seriously. We've just drawn with a bloody good West Ham side despite being a goal down with ten men with seconds to go. The lads will be buzzing. The stuff with Vardy will galvanise them further. People have seen Spurs beat a crap Stoke side and are wetting their knickers. Laughable.

There's nothing that's happened this season to suggest we can't beat Swansea at home. Vardy or no Vardy. Same with Everton. I think United will be tough, but Chelsea won't give a shit. Calm down. It doesn't matter if Spurs win every game 20-0 (they will drop points somewhere, by the way). Five points clear with four to play? That's a fantastic position to be in. We're going to win the league.

I wouldn't want to put money on Spurs dropping any points all. They enjoyed merely refusing to fall away and tonight they've really enjoyed closing the gap. The one thing they haven't enjoyed is playing before or at the same time as us which won't be a problem for them.

And, of course, Monday night is an unusual slot. Years ago Tranmere were stopped from playing every game on a Friday because some sides felt they got a little too used to it, which could easily turn out to be the case with Spurs over coming weeks. And, of course, they're damn good, and repeatedly facing sides who have nothing to play for, and perform that way.

The trick is not to get cocky - we're putting pressure on ourselves in this way. Play one game at a time, starting with Swansea, and make sure we win it. And as fans, kick up all the fuss you possibly can about how unfairly we've been treated, be it by the fixture list, Moss, the authorities, lacklustre displays by the sides playing our rival (Ferguson used to love that trick, and it worked), the treatment of Vardy and anything else that comes to mind. If you're on that FA panel and you care to look at this forum to see how much of a commotion will be made by banning Vardy for two, three games then you'll love coming on this forum and seeing how many people think Moss was just fine and, yes, Vardy probably should be banned because he's a gobby prat. Come on. Be a fan.

We need to fight for this with the same resolve that Spurs do. And lose those stupid bloody Champions scarves. If you see someone with one do what I did, tap them on the shoulder and remind them that they're writing Spurs' - and our opposition's - team-talk for them. Okay, so they just looked at me blankly and carried on, but it's worth a go.

Because a lot of people thinking this is a fairy-tale appear never to have picked up a Hans Christian Andersen story. They don't always have happy endings. If we want one, we all have to fight for it.

At no point in the form guide, 4 games, 6 games, 8 games, 10 games, 34 games, 42 games, whatever, are spurs ahead of us.

They've just rolled over a team who quite obviously couldn't care less, aided significantly by an unprecedented decision to allow them to choose their own referee.

We got a draw against a fighting West Ham, who beat spurs easily just a couple of weeks ago, even though we suffered what is widely being described as one of the worst refereeing performances of all time.

There's nothing in recent events that we need be concerned about. We just need to keep doing what we do and the only thing that can stop us is FA tampering, and if they do that then **** it, I don't want to win their competition anyway.

Absolutely this.

Although losing Vardy as a consequence from yesterday throws a tiny wrench into all of this. It's not going to be easy, but we're going to come through from this.

Some of you guys must be a real hoot to go out with! FFS top 2 is almost a certainty, with Man Ciry and Arsenal playing each other in s couple of weeks, even losing all the last 4, I don't think either and certainly not both can catch us.

We have a 5 point cushion, 4 games to play: 2 at home to teams with nothing to play for.

Spurs still have to play Chelsea (as do we) but they have a god awful record there.

This is on the same day were at Old Trafford, all we have to do is match their result.

All we have to do is match their result in three of the four games. They are playing well but with no pressure, we have seen time and time again how they play this season when they have the chance to go top, Aesenal, West Ham and even Liverpool when they could have put on some pressure.

Momentum is the dumbest word in professional sport, anyone saying they have momentum, what did we have before this week with 5 wins in the spin?

All it takes is a world class goalkeeping performance, an early red Card, a dodgy penalty, a stinker in front of goal and that momentum changes- that's the funny thing with momentum it changes and quickly.

If Spurs do manage to win all 4 games remaining, we need to home wins and 2 draws away at teams well below us in the league, forget their names and history look at the now.

I disagree, we deserve this more then them based on the 34 matches so far. If they win then they will have been the best for 4 matches as well as being the jammiest team in history.

Shinji scored 12 and 15 in the last 2 seasons leading the line, this year he's been asked to play deeper. Without Vardy he'll probably be pushed up. NP signed him to score goals, and I have full confidence, pushed further up that's exactly what he'll do. We have a rock solid defence so 1 or 2 is all we need. We're a threat from set plays for the first time in years, the reaction of some fans it's like we've rolled over.

We're Leicester City we rule supreme.

No they'll have been the best over 38. :D

It doesn't matter what order it comes in. Did we deserve to finish bottom last season because that's where we were for most of it? Bastards, only being good for the last nine games.

It's the Vardy thing that has us spooked I thing.

Worth remembering...

Soton 1-0

Watford 1-0

Newcastle 1-0

Number of Vardy goals 0

Number of Vardy assists 0.

Whilst I'm not worried, my pedantic side wants to point out that JV assisted for shinji's overhead kick
