Well we scored against West Ham in our last match without him on

I've just checked it. We've played a total of 96 minutes without him on the field with 11 men, and we scored 2 and conceded 1. The Spurs 1-0 win accounts for one of those goals. It's often late in games when we're hanging on too, but if we sort our set pieces out we should still have a goal threat. We saw that against West Ham, even with ten.

Tottenham are rampant and look like winning every match between now and the end of the season.

We've been playing badly and we've just lost our main goal threat for 2 to 3 games - completely unnecessary -  thus ruling him out of the majority of the run in.

If we can't win our matches, we'll be overtaken in a few weeks.

Its overwhelmingly depressing.

Time for Mahrez to step up, and combine with some hungry Andy King championship winning experience

I bet no one actually thought we would be 5 points clear even as soon as four games back... we are still doing the business, doing what we need to do... forget Spurs

We're in an incredible position. Two wins are enough if Spurs slip up once in four games, if not - and they may well not slip up - we win three, or win two and draw two. It's tricky without Vardy for now, but if we get the result next week I'll stick my money on Leicester. I personally expected that lead to have dipped down to a point or two by now, and some time back, and if this encourages people to keep those ******* scarves locked up at home (stop giving Pochettino a free team-talk every week!) it may not be a bad thing. It's a dream position, and neither side has easy fixtures, neither side is invincible - especially against those teams who still have something to play for, and neither side will go into a single one of those games without thinking anything other than 'we can win this one'. We're still in the better position.

Hi guys. Blackburn Rovers fan in peace.

Just wanted to chip in my 2 pennies worth from a fan of the last "non big club" to win the Premiership - 21 long years ago (Jesus).

Although on paper Spurs have an easy run-in including games against teams that will potentially roll over like Stoke did tonight. You never really know what's going to happen. As in 1995 nobody thought a West Ham team with nothing to play for would put in such an immense performance to stop the Man Ure. Similarly Man Ure fans were saying Liverpool would roll over on the last day *(for those that remember they actually beat us 2-1). In the most part they are professional players and I don't think Spurs will win all 4. West Brom can be plucky, I can even imagine a Chelsea team that seem like they are already on their summer holidays plucking up for the Spurs game and even Newcastle on the last game of the season (if they have to get a result to stay in the Premier league at home - they will simply have to be up for that).

As for yourselves. Come on. It's not like you're suddenly going to become a terrible team for the remaining games. Even the toughest games on paper Man Ure and Chelsea away - you can get something from at least one of those games. Also Ranieri knows what he's doing so he'll have his tactics down to a T and I'm sure you have a fairly decent striker to replace Vardy (certainly comparatively better than our Chris Brown).

I've watched all your games for the past 2 months and it kinds of brings back memories of 1995. So I'll be routing for you as will many others.

It's in your hands, and if Spurs get even closer they'll probably start to feel even more pressure as so far they haven't really been under any - it's just been a case of let's see if we can get close. They will tighten up just as much as you guys.

I reckon 6 points ought to do it.

KEEP THE FAITH.

this post of the year, and its from an away away fan, putting it all in perspective, BRILLIANT

If we win one and draw two of our upcoming three games we'll still be in the lead going into a winnable final game. I'm not saying we'll do as well as that, nor as badly as that, but it doesn't look too depressing to me. We've played a full match's worth of minutes as 11 men without Vardy in the side this season, and we came out 2-1 to the good. If we can replicate that in the next game we'll be beside ourselves all over again.

It would mean a win and two draws, or two wins and a loss, would guarantee us the title. I can live with that (at least I hope I can).

And if the worst comes to the worst, and Spurs don't drop a couple of points and we don't crack 81, or they do and we can't scrape two more wins together, it'll all feel a lot better when we play our first Champions' League game (unless the footballing authorities go out of their way to rob us of that too, on some technicality they've unearthed). That in itself is a pretty special consolation.

What's wrong with people?  Oh boy where do I start?  We buy objects for which we have no personal concept of the manufacturing processes involved nor the devastating effect it has on the planet or downtrodden populations far from our sphere of consciousness; we habitually praise the accruement of personal wealth over the demonstration of human values; we unquestioningly accept status quos that negatively affect people with whom we share no personal contact but become uproarious if a system infringes upon our own sense of absolute freedom; we demand the newest, the latest, the best without thinking about the ramifications of the race to the best show and tell presentation down the pub; we scoff at the poor and unfortunate for not having the wherewithal to live the exact same life as ourselves regardless of how feasible doing so ever was for them; we shun the strange and accept the same; but yes, let's moan about fans of a football team worrying about the results of football matches that affect said team.

Andy King will score an important goal in the next 4 games I'm sure of it.

i am so excited for this to happen. if kingy scores against everton i'm on the pitch bollocko. ban me for life after that if you want, it'll never get better.

The problem is that Spurs don't look like losing.

we hadn't looked like losing for months either until a ref decided he wanted to get on the front page. so much can happen in every minute of every game. you can look in cruise control one minute and then be losing the next. look at arsenal last week. they went 2-0 up easily and this forum was about to close because people were too scared they might win every game for the next 20 years and complete football. 20 minutes later they were 3-2 down.

look at us after 50 minutes yesterday. 1-0 up and hadn't conceded a goal for 6 weeks and on for another win. 10 points clear. we didn't "look like dropping points". but we did. nobody knows what's going to happen next, that's why we love footy so much.

i'm almost sure spurs won't win all their remaining games, and even if they do (fair fu cks if they do) we need to win 2 relatively easy home games and get something on the road. "tough"? a bit. but not exactly a perilous situation. we're in the best position because we're miles clear at the top of the league and time is running out.

First of all. Stoke were an absolute disgrace tonight. Yes Spurs were good and rightly being praised but lets not kid ourselves, Stoke were painfully bad and Spurs walked through their defence numerous times with minimal effort. Think anyone would have beaten them tonight.

I don't stress too much about Spurs as I think they will probably win every game so I just accept it now. I do think however that WBA should hopefully put up a much better defensive display and surely Pulis who already said he wants us to win the league, is the only manager who plays for 0-0's. Could go the same way as Stoke though and that's what we should expect.

My concern is missing Vardy of course. I know he is only one player and we are here because of the others too, but he is so important to our team and how we play, even when he isn't scoring, he is creating them and Ulloa is such a different player and I know he had a great 30mins yesterday, but we have all seen him struggle in other games where he looks slow and clumsy and too ponderous infront of goal. I'm hoping Okazaki can excell in the Vardy role and perhaps Mahrez will be back on fire, we really need it. Swansea are certainly no walkovers. I think we need to keep calm, something I thought we lacked yesterday and I saw a lot of reckless challenges and over aggressive behaviour which we haven't seen before, maybe the first sign of pressure getting to us. I think if we can stay calm, keep it tight at the back and let Mahrez and possibly Gray coming on, to get hold of the ball and cause chaos then we can win 1 or 2-0.

I don't like to be all doom and gloom but losing Vardy for what will surely be 2 games is a disaster. Lets just hope the team use it to fire them up and Ulloa could become a cult hero with two big games!

Of course the fact we are still 5 points clear and with Swansea at home next up is reason to be optimistic.

However being completely honest I have faith in us beating Swansea with or without vardy.

But if he gets a 3 or 4 match ban. Infact if he misses Utd away which now looks nailed on. Then I think people have a right to wonder if we have a plan b and who will step upto the plate.

I hope in this season of fairy tales that leo showed he will take his chance to shine. Or maybe Andy king is going to be a hero once more.

On the meantime I may start going to church just in case.

Please. Please just let us have this one title. I really will die happy.

Agree totally with the sentiment of the OP - If we do our bit then the title is ours. Ignore Spurs, because all we have to do is focus on our own results. (For the record I can't see them dropping many points, if any.) It IS in our hands; that cannot be denied. Like most, my fear is the duration of Vardy's ban. I personally think it'll be a two game ban, but whatever the case we'll have to work whatever hand we are dealt. I have full faith that Claudio and the team will be able to handle it.

I'm confident we'll have enough to get the three against Swansea. United are hit and miss, it'll be tight game with or without Vardy, one goal could decide this. Everton will be tough, but with Vardy hopefully back ready to go and get at them we'll have enough to get the three. Chelsea will again be tough, and I don't expect them to hand us the points like some do, but this is not a very good team. Look at the display against Man City? We can get something here.

Yes, we will miss Vardy. Of course we will, he's part of the reason we are here. And yes, I'm nervous. Of course I'm nervous! But this is a team that is more than capable of grinding out the results we need. It's time for players to step up, the back four look as steady as ever, they've got the experience to see us through. Going forward Ulloa looks ready for the fight, Shinji we know works himself into the ground, Mahrez has the ability to change any game and the token Andy King goal that we all know is inevitable.

We've proven we can do it, we've proven we can bounce back, now let's go and do it. We've got a 5 point gap, there's four games to go, what a position we're in! What's happened is now in the past; we cannot change it now so don't dwell on it, the lads won't so nor should we. We stand on the verge of history and it's in our control, it's advantage City.

So come on! Continue to take one game at a time. Get behind our lads as they deserve it. They need our unwavering backing more than ever.

Believe in them. Foxes Never Quit!

You'd think we're 5 points behind Spurs the way some knee-jerkers are harping on

Still plenty of football to be played yet, keep the faith n' all that. If the gap goes down to 2-3 points then maybe the panic button can be hit.

There is NO room for negativity. NONE!

The players overcame a fair tougher test at the end of last season & they can & WILL do it this season!

Now lets hear no more of this defeatist b**lshit. OK? :scarf:

The problem I have is us (possibly) conceding the title due to the events of yesterday (dropping 2 points that we surely wouldn't have with 11 men) and then losing Vardy for a 2 match ban. I could eventually come to terms with it if we drew or lost to West Ham with 11 on the pitch and then blew it by playing badly in our last 4 games. But the fact that Moss and the FA have interfered in the natural order of things will be a killer, should we lose our grip now, because we will never know how it would have panned out.

Yes, Spurs are the better team in terms of form, but they weren't back in January and they were'nt in March/early April when they lost to West Ham and drew with Arsenal and Liverpool. We worked hard and forged that 7 point lead so that, should there be a wobbly patch, we'd still have every chance of getting over the finish line. But the fact is, it's been cut down in the cruelest of ways, and NOT because we couldn't compete with teams or were thrashed by West Ham for instance. It seems morally so wrong, for the powers that be to do this, when they know we are on the brink of possibly the greatest achievement in top-flight football. Not saying they should give us special treatment, but heck, they are being disproportionate in their treatment of the club and Vardy when you consider he has not had a "history" like Costa for instance..

The only thing that is keeping me going is the hope that Chelsea get up for the London derby and deny Spurs from taking all points and that Newcastle, somehow, some way keep taking points so that, by the time Spurs visit them, they need a point to guarantee survival and are hellbent on surviving. In the meantime, we have to take all 3 points vs Swansea, a game, 2 days ago that seemed like a Godsend, now a mountain to climb.

Gonna be honest I was quite down till I saw this thread. Renewed hope has been brought to me and as fans the best thing we can do is get behind the team. Yes it will be difficult without Vardy but throughout this season we have had players step up at different times. Okazaki at newcastle, leo for norwich, wes for southampton. We are a great team and with still a 5pt gap it is still firmly within our grasp

Come on leicester, one final push lads. Foxes NEVER quit!!!

Seriously. We've just drawn with a bloody good West Ham side despite being a goal down with ten men with seconds to go. The lads will be buzzing. The stuff with Vardy will galvanise them further. People have seen Spurs beat a crap Stoke side and are wetting their knickers. Laughable.

There's nothing that's happened this season to suggest we can't beat Swansea at home. Vardy or no Vardy. Same with Everton. I think United will be tough, but Chelsea won't give a shit. Calm down. It doesn't matter if Spurs win every game 20-0 (they will drop points somewhere, by the way). Five points clear with four to play? That's a fantastic position to be in. We're going to win the league.

Who says Spurs will drop any more points. Where's the evidence or likelihood of that. We're facing intense pressure, not entirely due to a flawed referee, but because we didn't strengthen our attack in the January transfer window.

As it happens I think Ulloa is underrated but his playing style won't replace Vardy's and neither will Shinji. That said I have every faith in Ranieri coming up with an effective tactical option for all that I think he's been mightily fortunate in getting away so successfully with our recent smash and grab approach.

For me falling back so deeply after scoring invites trouble - as both sides discovered on Sunday - but I don't see major changes now. We don't have the personnel. If anything we'll be more cautious although Schlupp's presence might offer some encouragement.

It may also be time for King to return - we really have missed his passing accuracy of late although he might have forgotten what a football looks like by now. i could easily see us adopting 4-5-1 for the run in because I've never seen Ranieri as a naturally expansive manager, more a manager absolutely steeped in the Italian tradition of getting a lead and holding it.

Will be disappointed not to win it from here of course - but even if we finish second it's the best ever season in our lifetimes and we have the Champions League to look forward to next season. It will happen as it happens.

Agreed but to lose it from this position with what potentially could be due to a red card and further ban to our best player, would be hard to take. Spurs have to win 2 more games than us and they still have Chelsea away and I think Southampton could be difficult for them too. We are still in an amazing position but as you say, if it does slip away somehow, we have to be incredibly proud of what we have achieved!

Waaa, waaa...we had it all sewn up... waaa, waaa... it was over... my mummy said so... waaa, waaa... now its finished, it is over... waaa, waaa... its hopeless, no point us even turning up... waaa, waaa...

F***in b***ends, what would have happened if we drew a game a few back? What would all the chokers have said then? Anyone who thought winning the Premier League would be easy for LCFC, is deluded.

I think we have done a remarkable job in giving ourselves a buffer, which gives us the chance to ride out the tough moments.

Leo has been excellent for the last month or so, and I'm kind of relishing his chance to contribute to the next few key games. That was the one of the biggest penalties in the history of the club, and Leo did not let us down.

Sorry to join a be a Debbie downer but I cant see Spurs losing a single match and I can see the pressure getting to us in the next 2 matches. Its the small teams that are the worry. I think we will lose against Swansea and then draw Everton. The dream was good while it lasted. :( I have accepted 2nd or 3rd place. Best people do the same so they dont get depressed when it happens. At least we are going to Europe yes small consolation but many would have given their right nut if they were told at the start of the season we would end up 2nd. Oh well we did try roll on 2017 and lets see if we can fight again for Europe.

If that's what you see then close your pissing eyes
