Keep off the Pitch

Ahead of the final two home matches of the Barclays Premier League season, Leicester City Football Club would like to remind its supporters of its expectations relating to matchday supporter safety.

The Foxes host two high-profile matches at King Power Stadium before the end of the 2015/16 campaign – Sunday’s visit of Swansea City (kick-off 4.15pm) and the visit of Everton on Saturday 7 May (kick-off 5.30pm) – as the battle at the top of the table reaches its climax. Tickets for both matches have sold out.

Our supporters will play a vital role in the remaining games of the campaign, as the Club strives to finish one of its greatest ever seasons in style. The Leicester City fans have made King Power Stadium’s atmosphere one of the the most talked-about experiences in world football and their passion and energy will be crucial during the run-in.

However, as part of our duty of care to everyone inside King Power Stadium – supporters, players and staff – we have a responsibility to ensure all spectators remain in their seats. A pitch incursion of any kind – before, during or after either fixture – could compromise the safety of others and put the completion of either fixture at risk.

Supporters are reminded that it is a criminal offence to enter the field of play. Please stay in your seats and keep off the pitch AND the perimeter track.

As both matches have been declared sell-outs, the Club recommends supporters arrive early for both fixtures to avoid queues at the turnstiles close to kick-off. Sunday’s game against Swansea kicks off at 4.15pm, while the visit of Everton on 7 May commences at 5.30pm.

I know the groundsmen work really hard on keeping our pitch top top but fvcking hell if people want to invade the pitch because we've won the title then let them.

If we win it I want the players to do their lap of honour and receive the raucous appreciation they'd deserve without their kids or families feeling threatened. Whats the point in going on the pitch? After your there you stand around looking lost before walking off again.

Standing on the pitch shoulder to shoulder with other lcfc fans after we've won our first ever title singing about being champions? Yeh, sounds shit.

And ruin the presentation for everyone else , and ruin the chance for the players to come around the ground and say thanks

Stay in your seats and enjoy the party !

Not usually a fan of pitch invasions BUT if we win the league against Everton it would be brilliant.

Problem is you can't trust some fans not to be morons. I'd love to see some iconic pictures of vardy and co being lifted in the air

Do you not sit with other Leicester fans in the stadium then?

Of course, but a pitch invasion would be much more fun that applauding lcfc wags and progeny round the pitch while the players check their twitter mentions.

A pitch invasion is always fun - but not until any official celebrations have been completed, lap of honour done etc. Then I see no issue with everyone going on the pitch - I went on when we won the championship with my son but I wouldn't run on charging at the players at the final whistle.

Every team would do it, the only criticism of the powers that be, made such a big thing of it last time we won something, we had fans booing our own fans, only for those booing to go on the pitch.

I have no problems with it, but nothing would be won at the Swansea game, so no point, and if nothing is won at home to Everton, again no point.

Leicester have always gone way way over the top with policing the final home fixtures to prevent a pitch invasion. No need for one tomorrow but I wouldn't complain against Everton if it was the title.

Absolutely, if the game itself hasn't clinched something big then it's a bit pointless. The Brighton attempt was embarrassing and then charging at kids was just moronic. Unfortunately the club didn't help the situation by having a massive, prominent police presence.

If it's not decided by the time we play Chelsea theb I think the warning is irrelevant anyway.

If we win it against Everton though, would be difficult to stop it happening I think.

Seems to me that by bringing this up they're just putting a pitch invasion on the agenda. They want it to happen really but have to be seen to have guarded against it so as to avoid fines etc

The threat of a banning order for breaking the law might put a halt to it ! It's a criminal offence to step onto the pitch area.

Keep in Mind sky and the club may be co-ordinating a trophy presentation.

Sky will make sure the club have enough police and security to stop it happening.

Hope it's managed properly for all concerned

No idea why people seem to think a pitch invasion and a trophy presentation/lap of honour can't both happen.

IF we win the league by getting a result in a game then we should go crazy. Get on that pitch, celebrate with the players and each other. Then make your way back to your seat and let the co-ordinated trophy presentation occur and the lap of honour afterwards.

Ask Germany, if they still have equipment from the Old DDR days.

electric fencing, mines, could dig up a couple of moats. 50+ Dogs

on extended chains.Find 100 Nigel Pearsons.

Ask Forest and Derby stewards to do our game.

SO no misunderstandings get the ground-staff to pattern in a muster, saying....

.....Keep of the grass'...

I have some great ideas sometimes... :)

if we win the title at that game there is nothing on this earth that would stop me running on that pitch.

if we do it away from home or without kicking a ball....i won't jump on the pitch.

Why would they possibly want a pitch invasion tomorrow? lol
