Keep off the Pitch

Recommended Posts

The riot police will march out on the 80th minute and one poor bastard will chance it and end up with a long ban.

I hope not. I'd love a proper pitch invasion.

They managed both an invasion and a presentation?

Every club does it and every club manages the situation.

What they going to do "ohh you come on the pitch now we aren't going to have a trophy presentation for the first time in history" lol

Would be nice to save it until after any presentation. Killed the mood a bit 2 years ago with certain supporters confusing the moment for themselves.

That said, if we grab it last minute or something it will be hard to make rational decisions.

It's been said in previous years, but a preplanned pitch invasion for the sake of it is ****ing tragic. It should be a sporadic outpouring of emotion, done in the heat of the moment, not done because it's been discussed and planned on a forumm

this is about winning the league.

if we win it then people will be on the pitch regardless of whether we're talking about it or not.

This is how to do it (I was on the pitch for both momentous occasions):

v Charlton, 1980

v Burnley, 1983

Bring back Filbert Street!

But not like this:

Or this:

And definitely not this:

Yes in invade the pitch final whistle against Everton if we have won the league.

Watch the trophy lifted at Chelsea.

Go on the pitch when your allowed.

I remember going on the pitch on the last day of the 91 season after beating Oxford and staying in the 2nd division.

No big deal, nobody seemed to care.  Now pitch invasions are treated like the end of the world.

If we win it I want the players to do their lap of honour and receive the raucous appreciation they'd deserve without their kids or families feeling threatened. Whats the point in going on the pitch? After your there you stand around looking lost before walking off again.

Mate, laps of honour are boring. We do them when we finish lower mid table.

Stop being a tool.

Oh and it's a bit sad that we could be about to win the first title in 132 years of history and the club are going out of their way to prevent fans enjoying themselves.

And for the sake of what exactly? Control?

I think they need to understand this is Leicester biggest moment in their history, this isn't Leicester getting promotion from the championship. We're talking about Leicester potentially becoming champions of England for the very first time and may not happen again for some time.

Why do you have to go on the pitch to enjoy yourself?

This is exactly the problem, the owners and people who run the club will have no idea what it means to us as they haven't supported this club all their lives.
