mhs123 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 The slightest rays of sunshine and the flip flops are dusted and on full display for all to see, I understand them being worn near a pool or on a beach but not in the high street please gent's. A truly horrible fashion statement.

A truly horrible fashion statement. Everyone knows that the inventor of this dreadful footwear was a Frenchman, Philippe Fuloppe.
Len Finsbury Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Even worse when men wear them with jeans! WTF?
CollinsLCFC Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Even worse when men wear them with jeans! WTF? Some one I know of wears smart/casual shirt, jeans and flip flops. Like all the time.
Len Finsbury Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Some one I know of wears smart/casual shirt, jeans and flip flops. Like all the time. You need to speak to him... soon.
Guest MattP Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Horrific things, certainly not acceptable attire on the high street. I once saw a guy wearing them in a restaurant, why anyone would think it's ok to have your manky feet out in a place where people are eating is beyond me.
sphericalfox Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 I thought this thread was about Col's honeymoon holiday... <sadface>
Finnegan Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 On a related note, anyone who thinks it's acceptable (however wealthy they are) to wear a hat in a restaurant needs to be escorted out. Especially if it's some terrible basketball inspired cap that they're wearing backwards balanced on the top of their heads looking like an absolute tit. And if they've combined that WITH flip flops? Just put them down. Sorry, Milktray.
Samilktray Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 I can't even wear hats now I have to wear glasses
Great Boos Up Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 This week has been sunny one second and snowing the next??? Perhaps these will help: Flip flop Boots!

ozleicester Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 hehehe, you guys need to steer well clear of Oz..... thongs (the proper name for "flipflops") are part of the national dress. We wear them almost everywhere, day, night, pubs, shops, cafes, etc etc. The ONLY time they are a problem is when this abomination occurs...

theessexfox Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Nice little name drop that you were benching with Ravi Bop :thumbsupemoji: Luckily Alastair Cook and Graham Napier didn't have caps on
sly1 Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 It's when you see people wearing socks with them thats funny
GaelicFox Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Walk my kids to school every day in my flips hail rain or shine
Parafox Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Flip flops combined with calf length Hawaii or camouflage patterned shorts are the utter epitome of chavness. Maybe ok in summer (just) but winter/cold days, really? Have a word....
MrSpaM Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I don't know what's worse, flip flops or Jesus sandles
Jattdogg Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Serious hate going on in this thread. Nothing wrong with flip flops. They have a time and place. Like hot summer days 25-40 Celsius weather. At the beach. Lounging in back yard garden etc. Typically better suited to be worn with shorts. Should you wear them at an interview or with dressier clothes heck no.
