Kilworthfox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Lack of quality? What about Albrighton? And lack of pace? What about Jeff? Reading some of the comments on this transfer forum you'd think we barely escaped relegation last season. Lack of pace = Albrighton Lack of technical ability =Schlupp It's nothing personal. Its an observation. There needs to be improvements made in the squad, if you could combine both players best attributes then it would be a different matter.
Kilworthfox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Said this to my housemate the other day. He isn't by the way, he plays in Italy now. Can't remember who for...possibly sampdoria or Torino? He is still contracted to Sunderland. He was on loan at Bologna last season.
kingfox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Sell Vardy and buy back Kramaric along with Kalinic. We would win the Champions League no problem.
sm1 Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 I liked the look of the young Croatian defender jedvaj. Only 20 yrs old and the young German right back Kimmich.
MC Prussian Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 yes please. Wonder how much he'd cost. A lot. Signed for Inter last summer and has a contract running until 2020. My guess is anything between £20m and £25m would be tempting. Surely, there must be a release clause...
SportsNut1908 Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 For Perisic you'd be looking in excess of £35m and competition would come from both Chelsea & United. Conte & Mourinho both want him badly. I still think Murillo could be a really good option for Leicester. Him & Hernandez to take over from Wes & Huth would be
Carl the Llama Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Badelj would be a corker. In talks with unspecified clubs in a bid for CL football according to his agent.
MC Prussian Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Breel Embolo nearing the completion of a four-year contract at Schalke 04. That's that one gone then...
johnny the fox Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Marek Hamšík and Nani you have been watching the euro's .. neither for me..
frany104 Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 I thought pjaca looked very useful for Croatia yesterday. Only a young lad as well.
ST20 Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Kucka has looked decent during the Euros, he always seems to give a 100%
ballisimo Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Balázs Dzsudzsák the Hungarian winger looks a class act. He's had a great euros so far and is only playing a bursaspor. Surely we could prise him away.
Gerard Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Breel Embolo nearing the completion of a four-year contract at Schalke 04. That's that one gone then... A strange one, we were interested last year. £20m for a 19 year old wonderkid who could play either as a No10 or No9, I wonder what put us off?
Clever Fox Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Two young players on the way up who would be good back up now and for the future. Shane Duffy of Blackburn Rovers an Ex Everton Centre Half. Good in the Air, Tall, and can play a bit also. Everton only let him go because they also had Stones. Cost I'd say 5 to 7 Million. The other is Callum O Dowda of Oxford. Tall and a good footballer who currently plays in midfield but can also play on the wing. He also has Goals in him. Cost about 1 to 3 million. Duffy certainly seems a better option than Keane.
Foxes1 Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Balázs Dzsudzsák the Hungarian winger looks a class act. He's had a great euros so far and is only playing a bursaspor. Surely we could prise him away. The commentator on TV also said he has been poor when playing club football and only turns it on for his country. May be worth a punt if he comes cheap
Guest Manini Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 He is still contracted to Sunderland. He was on loan at Bologna last season. Oh was it a loan? Fair enough.
MC Prussian Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 A strange one, we were interested last year. £20m for a 19 year old wonderkid who could play either as a No10 or No9, I wonder what put us off? It's also down to the player himself and how he sees it. Maybe he thought going Premier League would be too risky at this stage of his career. Using the Bundesliga as another springboard, so to speak. Not too shabby a decision, I think. On a sidenote, Embolo does have the same agent as Xherdan Shaqiri: Shaqiri's brother.
AKCJ Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 A strange one, we were interested last year. £20m for a 19 year old wonderkid who could play either as a No10 or No9, I wonder what put us off? The fact that he cost 20m without really ever doing much? Just a guess like.
MC Prussian Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 The fact that he cost 20m without really ever doing much? Just a guess like. Which other 19-year old did?
Blue Ed Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Watching the Ireland game McClean looks like a player
AKCJ Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Which other 19-year old did? Sterling, Draxler, Martial, Gotze, Sane, Alli, Iheanacho, Tielemans, Coman. Just off the top of my head. He has an impressive physicality, but i'd be fuming if we forked out 20m on a lad who has scored 9 in 22 in a league considered worse than those in Poland and Greece. He may well turn out decent. But it's pretty obvious why we've not gone for him.
Mezeker Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 A strange one, we were interested last year. £20m for a 19 year old wonderkid who could play either as a No10 or No9, I wonder what put us off? he really looks poor to me; I am happy we didint get caught up in the hype.
Gerard Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 he really looks poor to me; I am happy we didint get caught up in the hype. Never seen him play but I like the policy of buying the most talented young players in the world.
Mezeker Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Never seen him play but I like the policy of buying the most talented young players in the world. same but going in to next season we really need to cement ourselves, which is why i think they are so high on Deeney. In the future i think that policy is how we should be looking to build but as for next season we should do everything possible to get into the top 4 and secure our revenue stream.
