kingfox Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 After a gruelling statistical research, I have come up with a shortlist... RB - Šime Vrsaljko or Sébastien Corchia CB(1) - Aleksandar Dragović or Joël Veltman CB(2) - Armando Izzo or Lorenzo Tonelli CM - Julian Baumgartlinger or Piotr Zieliński WG/AM - Hakim Ziyech or Sofiane Boufal ST(1) - Troy Deeney or Wissam Ben Yedder ST(2) - Islam Slimani or Lucas Pérez Signing a RB or CM all depends on which position Ranieri sees Amartey best in. Not sure if a WG is needed as we have good options in that position. As for strikers, Deeney to replace Ulloa or Ben Yedder to replace Okazaki. Slimani or Perez as an alternative for Vardy.
foxes21 Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Slimani or Perez as an alternative for Vardy. Wouldn't they be better in the role behind Vardy? We need someone as fast as Vardy, to be his alternative.
Number 6 Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Van Dijk Boaz Myhill as backup Trippier Sigurdsson Saw Bolasie linked but Sako looks the better player to me. Difficult to not just completely trust Walsh anyway. He and his team know far more than I.
Lcfcrory Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Milik from Ajax? Only 22 and I'd say an upgrade on Shinji and Leo
Jaspa Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Pione Sisto please https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3twboCUeNU
Grewks Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Well, that's Dembele gone. Just another 20-odd tips about people we're signing to go. It's a bit like January. Can there be any worse feeling than approaching someone who doesn't want to play for you? I'm not suggesting we don't go for anybody but i sure wish we produced enough of our own players (as we should instead of constantly falling short) and changed the situation around so that it was considered a rare and fabulous privilege to play for us. The sooner it happens the better, and if the people already charged with doing it can't manage it, let's either find out why or get others who can and will. The Academy ranks need to be winners as remorselessly as the first team. Has Chelsea's youth team not just won the domestic league....again? As well as their european tournament? Yet they haven't integrated a youth team player into their first team since Abramovich arrived.
kingfox Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Wouldn't they be better in the role behind Vardy? We need someone as fast as Vardy, to be his alternative. Don't think so, both have pace, both are goalscorers, Pérez especially has similarities to Vardy. While with Deeney & Ben Yedder, we've seen Deeney play behind Ighalo this season while Ben Yedder plays the Okazaki role for Toulouse.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I might get slated but I think Rondon at wba would be a useful addition to the squad as I think you could get him for a fair price.
foxfanazer Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I might get slated but I think Rondon at wba would be a useful addition to the squad as I think you could get him for a fair price.Agreed. Probably the best opposition striker performance against us this season imo
foxfanazer Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Ruben Garcia from Levante Andre Ayew James Ward-Prowse
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Ruben Garcia from Levante Andre Ayew James Ward-Prowse Like the Ayew shout. Seems a pacey striker who can finish given the chances. I get the impression he could do really well here, in our set up. Ward Prowse is also a good call, and I'd say Davis too.
Langston Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 We've been linked with Sisto previously haven't we? He'd be exciting, Ziyech too.
Dan Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Some of these shouts are just utterly beyond me. I know we won the league with a lot of unfancied players but a lot of them quite clearly had something about them. Huth was always regarded as solid, Albrighton had very impressive creativity stats, Simpson was never regarded as that bad a player, some of these have never shown anything to hint that they will improve us.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 i spent 6 months in Brazil watching this lad and he is class , still only 22 but i guess a work permit would be a problem but no doubt this lad will be a star .

There was a similar thread on here about a month a go who people wanted from the relegated teams and I counted up seven different Aston Villa players, now after seeing Villa play this season those who called for those seven players can't all be right. I despair at some of the calls here for the likes of Jack Colback, Mbokani, etc. People usually scoff when I say this but I've played Football Manager albeit well over a decade a go but although it's not real life the principle is the same. The only players you should buy are: 1) Players better than what you already have. 2) Young players with great potential. If you need to pad out the squad do it very cheaply. I've absolutely no problem getting Luis Hernandez on a Bosman who will possibly be our third choice CB? The last thing I want us to do is spend £7m apiece on the likes of Colback and Mbokani to sit on the bench as we already know they're at their peaks and still not good enough for our team. Aso when you spend good money on a player get the best possible player you can for that position and that's why I fully support the club in trying to land players like Aranguiz, Musa, Dragovic & Dembele.

Perhaps you'll explain what Chelsea's youth team standards and development attitudes has to do with ours? What you say only emphasises my concerns about the indifferent return we seem to be getting from the Academy.
LCFC_Oak Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Marten De Roon from Atalanta, defensive midfielder should we lose Kante. Available for 12M Euros, but Napoli and Roma want him.

Gerard Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 I wondered why we had a similar thought pattern it's true though it's the same concept. When you've taken Nuneaton to dominate Europe like I have then you should sit up and take notice what I'm saying.
AlgerianFox Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Sofiane Hannihttp://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sofiane-hanni/profil/spieler/113358
Buzzell Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Has he been linked with us or are you suggesting he's someone we should sign?
