FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Got to say the city last night was absolutely amazing! Never seen the place as such one big massive love in and people just partying in the streets and the millions of Italian's were just great! Thankyou leicester people for making this city so great P.s. those guys who nicked the lottery sign on high street and presenting it to everyone on top of the phone box like the trophy, that was hilarious
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Between the noise and the bustling, the amount of people sat outside pubs with a pint and the temperature it felt a bit like being back in Rome last summer. Absolutely brilliant. I do not envy those contracted by the council to tidy the city centre up though
Haydos Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 What a night, fantastic atmosphere in the city. Shame I only made it until 11,those first beers at 11am were a mistake.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 It makes me sad that it'll never be like that again. Town is normally boring as fvck but it was the best night out I've ever had. It's a bit like the atmosphere in the pub pre match, around the ground, in the concourse, during the game, after the game. It'll never be like that again memories!
Rincewind Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I had to go home about 10pm after being out since one. Got in just after City's game on MotD. Recorded and watching this morning's repeat. Loads of car horns being beeped. Hope they had a nominated sober drivers. In town they may be OK but if traveling a distance the police will have them.
promised land Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Anyone see that bloke climb the lamp post opposite the market tavern around 9pm, went right to the top, the street was rammed. Got a video of it on my phone, will post up later.

The Italians were brilliant. Leicester people you was brilliant. Last beer at 4am at the clock tower.
Finnegan Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 My mate is a policeman and was working last night. To make it worse he's an Everton fan. Not a happy boy.
Sir Shep Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Really enjoyed myself out in the city last night, and it's not often us over 30's can out party the ankle biters in the city centre! Feeling it now though and the missus ain't too sympathetic!
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Funny that, I got a video of the guy that climbed the sign at clock town tower, 100% thought he was gunna be ded Which one - I was there for about half an hour before moving down toward O'Neills and saw at least three climb it.
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 the motorbike copper swamped and jumping around with the City fans outside the symphony rooms.
Jordan Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 It's fantastic that the best party in the world lately has been going on in Leicester. Man, I wish I were there! Everything just looks so... Joyous, I suppose. Also, I haven't heard of any notable bad incidents in the city either on Monday night or this weekend. I'm sure a few folks have had one or ten drinks too many, but this is still remarkable considering the amount of persons and alcohol put together in one area.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Was still rocking at 2.30 am when I headed back into the city centre.

The lamp post was swaying like it was about to go over. https://youtu.be/Qg6kHDxl9o0 This was another I took, my favourite, posted it elsewhere, chaps in the M4 absolutely loving it. https://youtu.be/J24TJ_xBmq0 Those Italians can party. Hope we get one in the cup. https://youtu.be/nHZITcyRaIM

Walkers Wench Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I had an amazing day and night. I got home at 3am, from leaving home about 13 hours earlier. I left the game with friends and walked back to town, stopping at various pubs. Went into Molly O'Gradys...and there was Elvis. Another thing to just make my day!
Foxhateram Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Amazing night! Plenty of injuries. I helped a few chaps who had fallen after being clumsy (qualified first aider thought I'd help out). The clock tower party was amazing, drums, beer and non stop singing. Great night! The temperature as well! Felt like a foreign holiday destination. Well done everyone. Best party I've ever seen.
Foxhateram Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 don't know what bar it was but we sang dilly ding dilly dong european tour for about 15 mins flat out. Amazing! I'm sure it happened in many places, but I might just have been singing along with you.
Davide Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Italians always know there would be casualties along the road. Last news i heard from a friend of mine there, at Victoria Park theres a friendly soccer tournament between drunk italians born in Veneto arrived by car, drunk italian students of Leicester and the drunk italian last stands who arrived yesterday via coaches from Milan
