Guest Col city fan Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I'm finding it hard to understand the game plan of the 'lesser teams', in the competition. They are defensive, sitting back, soaking up possession and hoping to nick a goal somehow. Not only is this very very dull as a spectator sport, IT'S NOT WORKING. ... Invariably, the bigger teams are pushing pushing pushing and are scoring and winning the game anyway. Why not have a go? Why not play a couple of strikers and make a game of it? At least you'll be losing knowing that you played a bit of football you know you can play. Northern Ireland last night were a great example. One shot all game for a team that has done so much more than that during qualification. Genuine question: what is the point in getting there only to play a game plan where you'll probably bow out with a whimper?
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I can understand people calling Spain dull, but you have to admire the technical quality and ability to control and receive the ball under pressure throughout the whole team - tiki taka may not be winning football any more but I still find it phenomenal
