Jeff is OK providing he doesn't have to think about what he's going to do. When he has to think then we are in trouble.

Very true

Not being funny gray has had 1 bad game every other time he has come on has looked like a world beater and to say schlupp first touch is better than gray is absolutely crazy

I love Gray.

That doesn't mean we don't need Jeff in our squad.

No it's not. It's your opinion.

We've had 1 game and Schluup wasn't on the bench because of this sale. It was nothing to do with how he is ranked within the team's structure.

Schlupp barely played since the purchace of Gray and we've just shelled out 5m on another winger.

It couldn't be any clearer that Ranieri does not rate Schlupp.

12m is utterly laughable for someone that hasn't kept a clean sheet at left back in the Premier League.

And there is a big reason for that as well.

And there is also a big connection to people growing as a player and in confidence and playing regularly! Learn more about your team mates, grow in match sharpness/ match fitness...

what we call inconsistent might be a mixture of those things...

Mahrez, for example, it wasnt until he nailed down a first team place that he grew to the player he now is...

how can you truly know someone is inconsistent if they dont play regularly?

What you call inco0nsistent might be not full match sharp or match fit. there isnt really a way of knowing...

Oh come on, we're talking about Shlupp! he can be inconsistent during a single game.

You only have to read the comments about him on here to realise that.

He consistently played left midfield/left back for a side that were rock bottom with about 9 games to go.

Well Mahrez didnt grow to the player he was until he nailed down a first team spot... Now he's unpredictable, but at least we know he can turn a game  in a second....

He consistently played LB in a team that shot to the top of the table for almost all of the first half of a title winning season, and that's not even his better position, in the second half of the season he came off the bench frequently and made a difference in the team that were crowned Champions

He provides an option off the bench that we don't have elsewhere. Gray is very similar to Mahrez, constantly cutting-in and looking to curl it into the far post and a bit lightweight defensively. Albrighton works fantastically hard and has a cross on him... And Kaputsko is a complete unknown quantity for us.

£12m in the bank means absolutely nothing when we're Champions of the country & all the earning potential that brings, have an unprecedented TV deal and are straight into the Champions League group stages with all that revenue

IMO the only position we're stronger than last year is GK, while Musa, Mendy & Hernandez are unproven for us... This means we could be entering the new campaign weaker than last season. Absolutely ridiculous & gross mismanagement of the situation we're in.

I would say, he'll cut inside, twist and turn and more than likely run into traffic,
I'm not saying he can't turn a game, he can, but I think this season he'll find it more difficult to do what he did last season!

Christ! If you thought Gray looked like a world beater against United at Wembley, you can't have been watching.

I didn't agree with the majority over the Barcelona game either. I thought Gray looked weak, physically and kept giving the ball away. Ranieri subbed him off at half time and we looked much stronger second half.

Gray looks to have something about him. I'm just yet to see anything like a 'class player'. He's quick, he's busy, he's tricky. But I think he's not yet quite ready for a consistent run in the first team. I could be wrong, he could play a worldly against the Arse and then go off form for the next few weeks..such is the nature of kids.

I just don't get the logic behind selling Schlupp...a bigger, stronger presence, with Prem experience...indeed of winning the title, to be replacing him, at this time, with Gray. I'd replace him with Mata and sundry other better wing players..but not Gray. That seems a backward step at the moment.

Possibly the last young player that came into the club that I just knew, right from the off, that he was going to be something special, was Heskey. I think he broke through at 17? and then the rest is history.

Schlupp and King have been good players for the club. And Gray could be. I just don't see it...yet....his all round game is not yet good enough to be commanding a first team spot in a Championship winning side.

Genuinely hope he comes on to be a world beater and I'm proven completely wrong. Again.. lol

We swapped his position once.

Once we decided that Paul Konchesky (the guy that couldn't get into the QPR team last season) was better, we pushed Schlupp further forward.

No problem with Schlupp going, aslong as we bring in better replacements.

I'm not impressed by the way we have done business this summer, we need string virile players like me to get things going

Weren't we about 7th and an absolute shambles defensively when Fuchs finally came into the team? We were much better once Schlupp was dropped - I thought that much was obvious and universally agreed?

As it stands Schlupp isn't going to get in the 18. He's a perfectly adequate PL left winger, a risky choice at left wing back and a horror show at left back.

I wouldn't agree with others who say that Gray and Kaputska should be ahead of him (yet), but the reality is that they are and £12 million is a lot of money for a reserve.

His one quantifiable asset is pace and we've got other players who can provide that.

Im going of last season every time he came on he looked brilliant im agreeing with u i probably dont think hes ready for starting every match but i see it has he will turn out the better player and obviously we have Albrighton who will be playing most games and gray will be back on the bench in till he proves he is 100% ready also i think when i have saw gray he looks better on the right

I actually think we could have 2 much pace we need more brains to go with the pace we have
