Guest Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 probably already mentioned but whole match is available to watch on reddit.

foxes21 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Thinking about it, could Choudhury & Muskwe be in with a shout of fighting for a spot in the first team squad as 5th/6th choice options in their position? Was really impressed by both. Drinkwater/Mendy/New CM/King/James/Choudhury Vardy/Musa/Okazaki/Ulloa/Muskwe elder looked solid too, definately someone we could rely on for a few games if Fuchs/chilwell ever got injured.

If he wants to make a genuine claim for the first team he needs to be shifting that timber now. Yeah I was thinking that, I'm sure there's a reason behind it, the sports science team wouldn't stand for him being overweight without reason.

I agree, really like the look of him. Nothing flash, but he always uses the ball really well, great fitness, good speed and energy. Think he'll be a really useful player... IF we find him a spot in the team and don't use him to patch up loads of different positions.
Muzzy_no7 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Yeah I agree, Kaspar has always been chub but seems to look a bit too chub this time. Zieler will really push him and that's good. James does need to shred quite urgently.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Sounds as if Schlupp & Gray were good last night. This is why it's important IMO, to keep Jeff because he's going to continue to progress under Ranieri.
Foxmeister Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 I really don't think James is any bigger than he ever was and the quality of our med team probably gives them the edge over us watching from the stands thinking he looks 'chub'!
RowlattsFox Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 James has always took a while to get to full fitness, even when we were in the championship he worked his way into fitness and into the team. That was without spending a year injured.
Guest Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 looking at the last 60 mins with all the new guys and changes: Hernandez looked very controlled on the ball and passed it well -admitedlly it's only Oxford. Chilwell and Lawrence put in some great crosses from the left - lawrence didn't shoot as well though. Musa was fast, willing and has a strong shot - bit short though. James was very good in midfield - better after Drinky went off and he could boss it. Converted CB looked good in midfield too. Schlupp looked devastating Muskwe looked out of his class Elder was at his own level Was picked out some good long passes Zieler had little to do but looked like he was ready to play short and quickly out from the back Amartey didn't look in the game properly Okazaki and Ulloa looked a class above but still not putting the ball in the net. Simpson looked good Overall I loved the build up work and the passes to the forwards, I think a set up with a better player than Muskwe up front with Musa could have seen us score another 2 or 3 goals in the last 30 minutes easily. Looking forward to Celtic but realise that they are already into competitive games whilst some of our guys haven't played a game yet.
Haven't Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Gray, Schlupp (devastating) and Musa for me were class. Zeiler did have one little blip though on a back pass.

Don't forget Amartey, he'll be involved in the battle for a place in midfield
danny. Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 James Probably has a body fat % of about 9-10, but looks "fat" as everyone else is about 6-7
