Shouldn't be be called Fatty James" but for first game in a year and a half he played really well, some nice long passes - Zieler loves to leave the goal open - Schlupp looked dangerous - Musa is quality, can't wait to watch him - Pretty sure we sold Moore to Chelsea and gave him a Kante mask to wear Good game, less worried about losing all our players now If we lose all our players I'd be concerned to be honest.
Foxes1 Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Not a bad workout for the first game, Oxford have played pre-season games already.
LAprice_ Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Maybe Liam Moore could be the 7th choice midfielder that we've always wanted! He looked comfortable today but he didn't really have anything to do. I'm sure he'll get another chance but I wouldn't read into it too much.

Webbo Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Not a bad run out for the lads. I'd forgotten that tom Lawrence played for us. I though Callum Elder looked tidy second half.
sm1 Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Pretty decent game, Gray, musa, drinkwater & schlupp looked good.
Izzy Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 And all is well again in the world of Foxestalk. Sleep well people, and get ready for tomorrows inevitable drama

RowlattsFox Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Caught the second half, good run out. Musa made some great Vardy like runs, Moore was tidy in midfield but hardly tested, not sure about Amartey at right back, surely he and Moore should have been other way round. Lawrence and Schlupp were threats. Great at to see matty James back on the pitch.
kingfox Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Good solid controlled performance. Gray & Drinkwater pick of the bunch first half, Musa & Schlupp pick of the bunch second half. Good to see James back as well, him & Moore did well.

I though Callum Elder looked tidy second half. Likewise I thought Elder looked very composed on the ball constantly making himself available as an outlet down the left and it was telling how confident the senior players were in his ability. Although Oxford didn't really put him under pressure. Hard to really judge anyone in a game like that.
FuchingKante Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Gibraltar has a population of 30,000, so they have roughly 15,000 men. About half of that is too old/young to play football so that brings it down to approximately 7,500 men aged 17-36. That basically means you could make 4 teams capable of beating Celtic from our crowd on an average matchday. I think Oxford would beat them
Babylon Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Can't wait to see Vardy and Musa getting on to Mahrez and Drinkwater passes! That pace!
lgfualol Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Enjoyed that Impressed with Chilwell, all the defence really, Musa, Schlupp and Dem. Our other youth players did alright. Ulloa and Okazaki were their normal selves. James will be disappointed as he misplaced about 60 passes. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan until Christmas at least. Moore could actually be decent for us at CDM, I never really thought about it before. Though, I think we could make Amartey an amazing CDM and he is just wasted playing RB.

Grewks Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 Oxford were poor. Kasper was questionable, and we played some ok stuff at times. Reminds me of last season... Except we have a center half who can pass a ball, another center half who has been watching DvD's of Eric Dier all summer and a striking option which leaves me a lot less worried than when Vardy isnt playing.

GingerrrFox Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 I reckon Zieler could end up being the number 1 by the start of the season. He's a classy keeper. Also just me that thinks Kasper looks a bit too chunky?

dbtcity Posted 19 July 2016 Posted 19 July 2016 liam moore really surprised me, granted it was just oxford and he was given a load of time on the ball but even so he still looked decent.... be interesting to see him in that role v celtic/psg/barcelona
