Hope Copenhagen take something from Porto so we finish top if we beat Brugge at home.

Yep - can't help thinking its unlikely though.

Porto have to win because you'd expect Copenhagen to win in Brugge, both sides have been good defensively and it will be tight.

To not go through:

  • We would have to lose our next two games
  • Copenhagen would have to win their next two games (home to Porto, away to Bruges)
  • And then Porto would have to win against us by more than 1 goal
  • (OR we lose to Bruges by a crazy amount of goals, like 5, Porto loses to Copenhagen by like 1 goal, and then Porto win against us 1-0, overcoming our total group goal difference or equaling it but overcoming us in total group goals scored)

You think it's likely that Porto will win away in Copenhagen? I don't. FCK have impressed me more than Porto so far and they're clearly excellent at home. I reckon they'll take the game by a goal. Hope they get 2nd spot.

I see Porto's goal was lucky as anything. They 've been such a scabby rival in this group.

So, here's the situation for us going into our game against Brugge:

1. If we draw we've qualified for the knockout rounds

2. If we win we can top the group that night if Porto fail to win in Copenhagen

how amazing would it be to go into the final group game knowing we are going through as group winners, it would be a real party atmosphere in Portugal. o -lay o-lay o-lay

Champions of Group G, we know what we are.

But can we not sing "you'll never sing that" to any certain club?

Apparently Chelsea, the last season two seasons. Would be great to sing that at them in January.

"Actually Burnley did win Group G in 1721. So you can't sing that".

I think that'd be pretty good too. Before, my thinking was that it wouldn't be such a great experience if it was a dud game but actually I reckon it'd just be a different kind of enjoyable.

We'll see, anyway. We're not through yet!

Atmosphere can't be any worse than Copenhagen regardless of the importance of the fixture.

I know you picked me up on demographic about Copenhagen. I've had it confirmed and as I suspected box holders were allowed a lot more tickets than Brugge away.

You could've put 3000 dead body's in that end and it would've been the same.

Saying that, I had a blast! lol

Staff handouts too (still at £65). This was once the larger allocation was confirmed.

Same old like you say. Gives some reasoning why it was an utter morgue last week.

Box holders weren't in the away end. Same as in Brugge they had their own corporate section.

I know of six fellas involved with a box in the away end.

I'm not sure how they managed that then as the box holders I know who went were all in a different stand like at Brugge. This was my friends view who is a box holder

Beating Brugges emphatically certainly gave the team the belief and drive to show other European teams already that we're no minnows as such being in the competition for the first time.

A draw or even a loss would have been bad considering how poor Brugges were/still are.

Now let's knock out Porto.

Copenhagen need to win against Bruge, and then as long as we hold Porto to a draw.

COME ON FCK!!

I second this. Kobenhavn have impressed me much more as a team and as a club. Hope they go through. For that to happen they need to win in Brugge and they need us to deny Porto the three points.
