Nalis Posted 2 November 2016 Posted 2 November 2016 Hope Copenhagen take something from Porto so we finish top if we beat Brugge at home.

Corky Posted 2 November 2016 Posted 2 November 2016 Porto have to win because you'd expect Copenhagen to win in Brugge, both sides have been good defensively and it will be tight.
FireFox Posted 2 November 2016 Posted 2 November 2016 To not go through: We would have to lose our next two games Copenhagen would have to win their next two games (home to Porto, away to Bruges) And then Porto would have to win against us by more than 1 goal (OR we lose to Bruges by a crazy amount of goals, like 5, Porto loses to Copenhagen by like 1 goal, and then Porto win against us 1-0, overcoming our total group goal difference or equaling it but overcoming us in total group goals scored)

I don't. FCK have impressed me more than Porto so far and they're clearly excellent at home. I reckon they'll take the game by a goal. Hope they get 2nd spot.
Harry - LCFC Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 I see Porto's goal was lucky as anything. They 've been such a scabby rival in this group. So, here's the situation for us going into our game against Brugge: 1. If we draw we've qualified for the knockout rounds 2. If we win we can top the group that night if Porto fail to win in Copenhagen
foxy boxing Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 how amazing would it be to go into the final group game knowing we are going through as group winners, it would be a real party atmosphere in Portugal. o -lay o-lay o-lay

FireFox Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 Atletico, Barca, Madrid, and Sevilla recently. Porto in '08. And that's as far back as I look.

Before, my thinking was that it wouldn't be such a great experience if it was a dud game but actually I reckon it'd just be a different kind of enjoyable. We'll see, anyway. We're not through yet!
Guest Lako42 Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 Atmosphere can't be any worse than Copenhagen regardless of the importance of the fixture.

I know you picked me up on demographic about Copenhagen. I've had it confirmed and as I suspected box holders were allowed a lot more tickets than Brugge away.

I'm not sure how they managed that then as the box holders I know who went were all in a different stand like at Brugge. This was my friends view who is a box holder
Wymsey Posted 10 November 2016 Posted 10 November 2016 Beating Brugges emphatically certainly gave the team the belief and drive to show other European teams already that we're no minnows as such being in the competition for the first time. A draw or even a loss would have been bad considering how poor Brugges were/still are.
