weller54 Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 Zieler 8 Simpson 6 Morgan 4 Wasilewski 1 Chilwell 4 Gray 6 King 2 Drinkwater 8 Okazaki 7 Musa 4 Schlupp 2
Osavo Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 Zieler 7 - made some good stops, got a little lost for the 4th goal. Simpson 6 - decent Morgan 5 - struggles badly without Huth Was 3 - liability Chilwell 6 - Moses skinned him a few times but was given little support by his midfielders. Looked good going forwards. Gray 7 - played well imo, some good runs into the box Drinkwater 6 King 4 - anonymous Schlupp 3 - terrible performance Musa 5 - didn't really make much happen. Unlucky not to score however Okazaki 7 - worked hard scored two good goals Ranieri 4 - got it wrong tonight imo. Schlupp should have come off for Kapustka early in second half, Benalouane should have played over Wasyl, Gray should've stayed on for longer.
adejo92 Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 Zieler 7 - Stopped plenty of shots and made a splendid save. Can't say he was at much fault for any of the 4 goals. Simpson 6 - Average performance Morgan 6 - Had a good game however could see the difference without Huth besides him. Was 3 - Clumsy & A few paces behind every other player Chilwell 6 - Looked good going fowards, held is own in defence. Not a performance worthy of taking Fuch's place. Gray 8 - Caused the Chelsea defence problems and always felt that his dangerous attacks gave Leicester hope of a goal. Drinkwater 5 - Didn't seem to create much King 5 - Missed a sitter, not involved much. Schlupp 3 - terrible performance Musa 5 - One half chance, Didn't utilise his pace enough. Okazaki 8 - worked hard & got himself 2 goals.
Onikage82 Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 Everyone 4- apart from Andy King - ****ing big fat 0.

I thought King was poor, but we could have helped him with an extra man in the middle, plus he set up a goal so I might be a tiny touch kinder on him. I would say that he's nowhere near the first team, but our lack of cover sadly means that he might be. Musa was perhaps a 6 in that he caused a few problems, though he isn't a serious option for us until he learns to press properly. He doesn't seem to know where to close down, and rarely applies serious pressure to a player. There's hope though - that was a common criticism of Okazaki when he first came, but he improved quickly. And I'm sure plenty of players will have learned from this, so even though Chilwell, Schlupp, Musa weren't up to much, the experience will have done them good. And Gray did well.
Always Next Year Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Ziegler 7 Not at fault for the goals, blame the players in front of him. As good if not better than CM. Simpson 4 Gives attacking players to much space, gets backed into his own 18 yard box to much. Wes. 2. Should never play for the first team again. Shit. Morgan. 4. Lost without the big man next to him. Chilwell. 4. Gave ball away to many times in second half, not ready to step up yet. Grey. 6. Needs to play simple football, to many tricks that don't come off. Schlupp. 5. First game back , needs more time. Drinkwater. 8 Man of the match yet again for me. King. 3. Waste of space, get rid. Musa. 5. Will someone show this guy where the goal is, needs to take his shots, not living up to his reputation . Okazaki 8. Worked hard as always, two good goals well done my son. Over all a bad performance no fight in second half after 3rd goal most players just wanted the game over, as I did. Bring on Man U.
AyewJoking Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler 6 decent overall performance considering we conceded 4. his "punch" for the forth goal was muck though. Simpson 6 slow start but got to grips and gave his usual workmanlike performance. Chillwell 7 struggled with moses' pace early on but grew into the game. Morgan 7 good game let down by lapse of concentration for chelsea's crucial first goal. Wasilewski 7 coped well but let the team down with needless sending off. didnt even break costa's nose! Gray 7 not at his best but still the brightest spark in the team. Drinkwater 7 motm worked so hard often doing the dirty work and covering others mistakes. King 6 good first half but faded as the game went on. Schlupp 4 poor touch and poor decision making with zero pace and power. Okazaki 7 big statement from the little guy and looks like he will fight slimani all the way for his place in the team. Musa 7 was a menace for the chelsea defence. Ulloa 6 got stuck in but lacks mobility. Vardy 6 no support but once we were reduced to 10 he knew it would be one of those nights. Amartey 6 makeshift centre half but why didnt we use Benny?
Rialto 290352 Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Like a lot of others I'm amazed that Benny was not used. When you have a Centre Half sent off and have a specialist one sitting on the bench its a no brainer. Very odd decision and can't have done anything for the guys confidence. Really feel that Benny should be played more.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler 7 Simpson 5 Morgan 4 Wasyl 2 Chilwell 4 Gray 5 Drinkwater 5 King 5 (not great overall but set up a goal with a great pass) Schlupp 2 (atrocious, I can't believe I'm seeing 5s and 6s here - I keep mentioning it but his defending for the 4th goal would get you subbed off at Sunday League level, never mind the air kicks and dummying tap ins) Okazaki 7 Musa 6 subs: Ulloa 4 (felt sorry for him) Vardy 4 Amartey 3
Eskay Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Anyone giving Chilwell a score higher than Schlupp is mad. Too many times got beaten, his body positioning was wrong almost each time and he doesn't have the pacei thought he did. He has so much to learn yet. There was one moment at the start of the second half. There was a head high ball on the half way line and he totally sold himself.......he almost ended up on the bench!

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler 6 Simpson 4 Wes 4 Was 2 Chilwell 3 (he'll learn from last night) King 4 Drinkwater 6 Musa 5 Jeff 2 Gray 5.5 Shinji 7.5

Fox92 Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler 7 - Kept us in the game with some good saves. The one from the long shot was unbelievable. Simpson 5 Wesyl 3 - Stupid challenge. Let everybody down. Morgan 5 - Thought he dealt with two strong forwards well but did lose Cahill first goal. Chilwell 4 - Tough game. I'd like to have seen Schlupp in front for reassurance. Gray 7 - At times our only creative spark. King 4 - Hasn't got the aggression or quick turn of pace to sustain this level. Great assist though. Drinkwater 6 - Tried. Shame, like Morgan and Simpson, he had to play all 120. Schlupp 3 - Why bother. Musa 6 - Tried. Strong at times. Okazaki 7 Very difficult to judge the subs. Ulloa's first header should've been converted by King. Chelsea 8 - Class second half and deserved to win the game in normal time. Raneiri 4 - Our lack of defensive cover highlighted today. A 36 year old!? Thought his subs were wrong - Schlupp should have come off and almost lost our shape dragging Gray off.
Fox Ulike Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler, Drinkwater excellent. Victor Moses had Chilwell on toast all night... he's a long way off being a first-team regular. Sad way for Was to go out, but even without the red card he was way off the pace. Schlupp looked a shadow of the player he was last season. The real villain for me though was Musa. It was his attempted back-heel in his own half in the 44th minute that gave the ball back to Chelsea when we were under pressure, and 60 seconds later it's in the back of our net, and Morgan gets the blame. All Musa needs to do is shield the ball, keep possession and we go in at half-time 2-0, and it's game over.
okie fox Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Gray, Drinkwater, Okazaki 7 Zieler, Musa, subs 6 Morgan, King, Simpson, Schlupp 4 Chilwell 3, Was 2 Ranieri 5, Chelsea 6, ref 5 A pointless competition in the middle of fixture congestion so why wasn't Drinkwater saved for Saturday?
crazyleicester Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Jeff always gets hammered on here!! I was abroad for a lot of the summer but I reckon the consensus wanted us to accept the WBA offers?! DD and Zieler were excellent, Musa and Gray gave me loads of optimism for the future and our strength in depth whilst the rest didnt really do too much. Harsh on Oka as he scored twice but I didnt see much as an all-round performance whilst some of the players who were making their first appearance of the season looked like they needed the games. I know some of us expect our players to be at their best every game but like Im sure hundreds in here who have played amateur football to a decent level, you do need some game time before you feel ready to perform at your best all the time. One thing that Conte did really well is he picked his first team defence. I know JT was injured and has featured but they didnt pay that money on Luiz and that LB so havethem warm the bench. As I see it they had a first team defence playing which gave them a base and we still looked useful at spells against them.
NewquayFox Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 8s for Gray & Okazaki... 7 for Zeiler..... Drinky & Chilwell get 6s.... Simpson, Morgan & Musa 5s.. King 3... Schlupp 2.. Was a lucky 1..... Poor team and substitutions tonight from Claudio, Should have take 12million for Schlupp and the young Polish lad should have had some game time.... Thought the Ref was rubbish again and showed a lot of bias towards Chelsea.... Up the City......
Dickov22 Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Zieler 7 Made some good saves and commands his box so well. Kasper must be getting a bit worried.... Simpson 6 Thought he did fine against a lively Pedro Morgan 5 Not bad but loses a mark for their goal. What on earth was he doing Wasilewki 2 Everyone on here knows I'm no fan. Liability, aggressive , unnecessary challenges and looks totally past it. Champions of England should have better back up than him. Pretty disgraceful red card Chilwell 4 Lacks the physical presence Fuchs has. Bad game for him but let's not give up on him yet. Gray 7 Probably our best player. King 5 Nice assist and his header wasn't THAT easy (he was infront of the ball). Just too ineffective though Drinkwater 6 Worked hard as usual but lacked support Schlupp 4 Spent most of the game asleep. No brain Musa 5 Lacking in confidence Okazaki 7 Did well. Liked his work rate and desire Thought Vardy and Ulloa gave us impetus and we would have gone on to win when they came on until Wasilewski ruined it for everyone in the stadium. ps, why are we always so crap when we go down to ten men?!

Towards the end both sides looked as if they were more interested in saving energy than trying for another goal.
Chico1958 Posted 22 September 2016 Posted 22 September 2016 Not really bothered about two teams that played most of their second string. More bothered by the laughing and joking going on during half time of extra time we were 2-4. They didn't look like they cared so why should I ?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 September 2016 Posted 22 September 2016 I didn't see the game, but there is a huge fluctuation of opinion in this thread!
