West Ham off the pitch

LOL...you can't blame the hooliganism at West Ham On standing! How Fecking ridiculous!!!

The guys at top of L1 stand,as do the guys of Union FS...They font go around kicking shit out if the away fans!!!

I've heard some shit on foxestalk lately but come on... The problem at West Ham is little boys thinking they have to re create the Upton Park Green Street hype at their lovely new corporate stadium. It's their way of saying"Were still the mad bad West Ham even though we frequent this beautiful new stadium!"

That poor Middlesbrough fan who got beat up. Reports that one of them had a knife too, don't know how true that is.

Thing is they've moved from such a place where they were used to standing, and others were used to sitting. They've now been mixed together. It's bound to kick off, it seems as if the club haven't thought about it.

Well we are discussing a rising hooligan element in their fanbase

Really - West Ham? rising hooligan element? - surely not.

How on earth did that pass me by? They were so well behaved in the seventies and eighties.

Well we all get told to sit down at grounds but don't kick off.

So clearly its more than just being cross about being told what to do.

Results don't help but again we all have bad runs and don't start attacking each other/opposition fans.

Is it just them taking advantage  of the lack of police in the stadium..

Personally the local council should reduce capacity by 25,000 until West Ham can manage this , my buddy was a steward at upton park for 25 years and they were offering him less money for his days work at the Olympic pit , a lot of the old stewards left and the new lads are just not clued up

that club should get a warning that any more significant trouble that leads to west ham supporters "member or STH" being arrested and convicted of trouble that west ham would get a points deduction

I personally loved away days at West Ham , good few pints in the black lion at Plaistow and then a nice walk to ground ... Jellied eels , pie and mash  and a cracking day out

I'm not so sure the Olympic stadium is going to replicate such a traditional match day experience.

Easy to say on a website isn't it.

Not so easy to do when the chances of you getting videoed and then the police giving you a banning order for being involved are so high.

My opinion is just sit the fvck down.

Same goes for our followings away half the time, just loads of aggro at times. Its an all seater stadium, you pay for a seat, youre supposed to sit down, so just do it and make some noise.

Anyone who wants to recreate the "old days" is a t**t as well. Just like they were in the old days.

You probably think aggro is when our fans hurl clappers onto the pitch when we score...

Oh put your flask away.

If I want to stand at the football, I'll stand. I couldn't care less that 'you're supposed to sit down' thanks.

Even in front of someone with who can't stand for whatever reason?

That situation was definitely not what the original quotation was referring to and is incredibly niche out of crowd of say 3k, but I'll bite. As a decent human being, I will offer to swap seats so said person can sit, obviously. But realistically, how many people is that going to be? Very few I'd hazard a guess.

This is just a stupid comment.

Sorry but this is why it kicked off all over the place at Wembley for the charity Shield.

It's simple...gauge where you are and do as they do.

I'd love to see you stand up in the Family Stand in front of 40 year old Ex Baby Squad Johnny taking his son with him!!!

All they had to do was get off the bus and they would have ran !

Its your attitude that see's people walk past crime all the time and do nothing

hope you never need help , I wasn't talking brawling I was just saying a few bodies to help him

Sorry, but your initial post seemed very, "I'll do what I like and sod everyone else." Fair play though.

Not at all, I know how it works at football, bans all round for being anywhere near bother if your face finds its way. You don't know what they would have done.

For your information I would usually always intervene if someone was a victim of crime in front of me, but this has other implications whether you like it or not.

I don't buy that knife talk. I've seen the picture and it looks like a wrapper on the floor to me. Can see why people think it but it's an illusion, not a knife.

I think you are spot on here. I'm also surprised that the Met have allowed games to continue being played there with them not being allowed to enter the stadium.

I'm not sure the one that has been freeze framed is a knife or not but if you watch the video from the start look at the lad in a dark coat to the left of shot, he clearly has a knife in hand. Yet the lad who has been framed clearly gestured for the lad with the blade not to get involved.

I presume all those on here complaining about people standing effectively breaking some sort of law.

Are not the sort of people who sit in the middle Lane of a motorway despite there being nothing in the inside Lane as that's a fine able offence and have definitely never ever done anything over 70 on said motorway.

Ffs I'd imagine 95% of people have effectively broken some sort of law. Be it a driving offence, trespass I mean you are aware it's illegal to be drunk in a pub. But who decides if you're drunk.

Whilst the video currently doing the rounds of West ham taking on one boro fan outside the ground and 2 of the little wanna  be's carrying blades doesn't fill me we confidence that my potentially 100th ground watching us, will be marred by that sort of shit, I expect that has **** all to do with standing which seems to have some how taken the blame.

Upton Park was never the nicest place to visit although the honour of the worst experience goes to our away end in fighting lol

These disillusioned, dysfunctional morons have found an opportunity to try recreate the 80s and so far are doing a decent job it seems. The government and the police need to get a grip asap and as has been mentioned they ****ed up by not taking stewards from Upton Park with them. These issues need solving. But don't blame standing that has **** all to do with it really.

L1 has stood since day 1 at the KP and the club effectively encouraged ufs to take the corner of sk1 knowing they would do the same. I haven't seen too much trouble in there.

As for the arguments that are mean to have happened at Wembley.  What did people think the singing section was aimed at? Anyone who brought in those sections with the aim of sitting really come on.

I don't know why, but I imagine the type of people who do this are the type of people who would moan about standing at football on an internet forum.

Of course the other possibility is you might get stabbed, that'll be a right laugh.

they are probably trying to create an atmosphere in a stadium that seems soulless and end up making trouble. they moved there to gain more income but are gaining notoriety for the fans behaviour. it should be up to the club to pay for policing and not the taxpayer
