Drygon Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 As the title says, what's your opinion about this? Personally speaking, I'd like to say that Kanté actually is without a shadow of doubt. I mean, Leicester City made the absolute best season in history for winning the Premier League back in May and Kanté had a immense impact for that achievement. And during this season, it's been very obvious that Leicester suffers heavily in the absence of Kanté IMO.
weller54 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Yes... And this season has proven that beyond any doubt.
murphy Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Lets just leave NG in the past. The reason we have nose dived is not just the loss of one very good player, after all the great escape and first few wins of last season were all done without him. We need to forget Kante and concentrate on why our stars of last season are not performing this year.

st albans fox Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Don't overstate it. He worked last season in our system.. He isn't chelsea's best player this season. I'm fairly confident in saying that a player who can't get into his country's first team ahead of matuidi isn't the best player we ever had.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Nah...not the best player. Probably the most influential player to how we won the title though. Big difference.

bovril Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 He's the most complete midfielder I've ever seen play for Leicester. Although he couldn't whip a free kick like Gary Parker.
Tuna Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Impossible to comment as I've never seen the likes of Worthington, Lineker etc....pre 1985.
Filbo1974 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Most definitely, in terms of impact and standout the only other player that came close was Mark Draper... however even he wasn't close to Kante... he's a one off
Koke Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Kante is the best MIDFIELDER in my lifetime (post-1995) and Mahrez is the best and most gifted player in my lifetime. Put Mahrez in that Chelsea side instead of Pedro and you will see every bit of the PFA Player of the Year guy we know.

The guy is incredible. Best player I've ever watched play for Leicester.

Fox92 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 I don't think he's the best ever .... we're talking about the club that produced a World Cup Golden Boot Winner here .... but very influential and for me, since following the club, probably the best ever. BUT our poor season isn't down to him leaving. No way. One player doesn't make this much of a difference.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Yes, since being a fan, the best I've seen.

Webbo Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 I'm struggling to think of any players from our past that were better than last season's team.
