Apparently quite lazy, hasn't played many games each season, av score rate.

Italian's who've only played in Serie A have a hit rate of success of about 1 in 20 (edited)in the PL.

It's a massive no from me. Ilicic is a big yes though, as @AKCJ suggests.

Can play as a centre-forward and even in a CAM role. His shots from distance ought to be insane. The type of player we need up front to add alternatives to Shinji. Mahrez seems wasted in the centre.

He won't get anywhere near that amount of space in the premiership.

They are all from over 15 years ago, when Serie A was decent. Recent years have been full of shite.

Lamela? Coutinho? Pogba? Alonso?

Not saying this guy is going to be decent but there'll be a risk wherever you buy from. The Bundesliga has provided flops, as have Ligue 1 and La Liga.

Non Italians have a much better success rate from Serie A

Not the type of player we need, not at that price...

Seriously would question all our Italian connections and staff, if he came in.!!

There is 63 italians in that list, are you saying only 3 are a success?

Benito Carbone

Carlo Cudicini

Paulo Di Canio

Stefano Eranio

Attilio Lombardo

Roberto Mancini

Angelo Ogbonna

Stefano Okaka (so far)

Graziano Pelle

Fabrizio Ravanelli

Alessandro Pistone

Gianluca Vialli

Gianfranco Zola

None of them were / are exactly flops.  Might add Nicola Berti too

Never heard of him and his scoring record is a bit pants!

Rather keep Ulloa, if this is the kind of replacement we are taking a chance on

Mancini was a massive flop for us.

According to the Mirror in the BBC Gossip column Southampton are after for him with a bid of £17million...... seems rather large!

He played an handful of games under Peter Taylor.

He only played a few games for us tbf and was at the end of his career. Saw him play at Filbert Street when we drew with Arsenal 0-0 I think, he had a fairly decent game. No pace whatsoever but you could tell he used to be class.

I was just replying to the guy who used him as an example as a player from Italy who was a success in the premier league as he was definetly not a success although there is no doubt he was a class player when he was younger in the Serie A.

You obviously never saw him. Genius, but only played half a dozen times for us before he got a coaching role in Italy.

He's the type of forward we should be profiling but he's never really impressed wherever he's gone.

We need a mobile, hardworking second striker but not Gabbiadini

His stats may not be top rate as a main striker, but that sort of player would cost £30M plus. Fewer goals scored per game in Italy, so he could be a 12/14 goals a season second striker (Okazaki role) if his work rate is what we would want. ( Only 25 years old ). That sort of player would cost £17M or more nowadays. 4-2-3-1 formation he could fit in.

Missed the first bit. Yeah you're right there, in no way whatsoever was he a success in the prem. Shadow of his former self. Anyone else remember at that time we had some tie up with Inter. Lasted about the 4 games we had Mancini on loan then died a death...
