Does anyone remember Henderson scoring the winner at Leicester against Liverpool, who were brilliant at the time, early one season after we had started apallingly? Henderson was often poor; he wouldn't have used barn doors for shooting practice as they would have been too small.

I believe,as a striker, pre-rotation days he scored four goals in a top flight season. Akinbiyi without the expense. I' m not denying he put in a shift.

1972 Fox Posted 13 January 2017 Posted 13 January 2017 Remember him well. He was average but chipped in with a few goals. That goal against Liverpool at the Filbo kop end sealed a famous 2-0 win after it's not God it's only Andy Peake's brilliant first half free kick. I also remember him scoring a winner away at Leeds during the early part of the same season. We still got relegated though despite also beating Liverpool away later on in that season. I think he grew up with Alan Young in Kirkcaldy and they went to school together. Then ended up playing together up front for us under Jock Wallace. Great days even though we were only an average side.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 January 2017 Posted 13 January 2017 If I remembered rightly Liverpool hadn't been beat at home for 2 or 3 seasons and no one had done the double over them in even longer, which we also did by beating them at Filbert St. Didn't stop us getting relegated of course.

Yeah, can't remember why, but defiantly spent some time inside. I remember clearly that game. The day before I remember saying I would be happy with a 2-0 loss the difference in class was that different. Henderson was okay, but slow and couldn't find the net. Pretty poor by today's standards. But part of my childhood, so fond memories.

Only ever produced one and the client saw that.
