I listen to Talksport quite often and most gossip transfer wise never actually happens. He would almost certainly have sources quite close to the club I'm sure of that and it's not uncommon for things to get leaked via someone in the media but who knows.

He has been fed information by someone and simply past as much of that on as he could. Whether there is any result from that doesn't really make him a liar if it doesn't come true or out into the public domain. He is as much at the mercy of the reliability of person who fed him the info in the first place. For interest only, I hope when this matter is resolved he is able to reveal who it was just to put this thread to bed.

I think this maybe a farcce, but I am more than happy to be proven wrong.

Ok without naming the player which club does he play for? Then we can narrow it down that way without you naming anybody.

However, in terms of the journalism world he isn't a headline broadsheet reporter and more so a tabloid reporter who feeds off rumours. I think Geoff's fans side kicked in where he heard something from what he considered to be a reliable source and couldn't wait to shout it from the roof tops - I can't blame him, as anything Leicester, I feel like doing the same. Based on this thread, he judge his fellow fans right. We love tabloids/rumours in this country as it gives us stuff to talk about

Geoff some of us have joked about your info. We know your a city fan and understand your position. If you burst the bubble you get no more. Some of us understand things can go wrong or get held up. But it would be nice if this don't happen that you could show your hand. Just tell us who it was after?
