What is wrong?

I'm not talking about the system, the style of play, which players are crap etc.

There is something wrong that is far more important and worrying than any of those things, and that's the attitude. Game after game there is a distinct lack of commitment and drive from these players. They aren't playing for the manager, they aren't playing for each other, they aren't even playing for themselves. Their reputations are going down the plughole.

There has to be something going on behind the scenes because the difference in their performances as individuals between last season and this is frightening. We had spirit in bucket loads and now they can't even raise the effort at the start of matches, let alone when we go behind. There have been exceptions, Stoke away (2nd half) and Man City at home showed the passion that we saw last season and, as a result, we looked the team of last season.

I don't like using the phrase 'lost the dressing room' but you have to say.....Claudio's lost the dressing room. But why are they not putting in 100% for themselves as professionals? They have completely mentally gone. The body language is so obvious, as is their decision making at every turn.

More than anything, this is what I would like to know. The proof is in the pudding, you don't get this much worse pretty much overnight without something being very, very wrong.

Unless that 'something' is addressed, no new player or manager will make a difference. And I don't believe it's as simple as 'we don't like the manager, so we're not going to bother'.

Everything's been wrong since the summer when certain players should have been replaced.

Players don't look like they care. Only Kasper looks bothered and if it wasn't for him today it'd be 6.

Yes players haven't been replaced, the recruitment was extremely poor. But that doesn't make players not care.

I'm wondering why they do not care.

Because the club gave them everything?

100k wages and new cars on top of that.... What have they got to play for now?

Professional pride? Love of the game? The guilt of stealing a living?

There are players who get that at the very big clubs and they still care.

It is everything. It is not a single thing; it is a combination of a lot of things. Last season we had all the football karma in the world and now absolutely nothing will work for us.

Probably because they are better players? Or have better managers to motivate them?

Ranieri doesn't look like he can motivate. I wonder.

They're not climbing Everest, they're playing a game of football every week.

Oh and for many thousands of pounds a week as well. Is it too much to ask for them to be bothered?

Pretty much it. What has Morgan got to play for? He can't NOT be paid his wages, no matter what. Same with everyone else.

Who are the players putting the effort in? Are they the ones that COULD go further in their careers? Mostly yes.

Not an acceptable attitude imo.

There are thousands of sportsmen and women who achieve the highest accolades in their professions OVER AND OVER again. Olympians with multiple gold medals over multiple events, etc.

What is the difference with this bunch of shit-house cvnts?

No. But you would at least want to get back down without freezing to death, wouldn't you?

Depends on your character doesn't it? We weren't going to win it again but did man united players during the 90s have that attitude?

Being a better player doesn't make you try harder. They are arguably better players because they work harder, on and off the pitch. A lot of them are better players than the ones in some of the teams we're losing to.

Clearly Claudio isn't motivating them properly but aren't these professional footballers who should be able to motivate themselves?

My guess is as good as yours I don't know why you're asking questions then answering them all.

To me they are playing like they are just going through the motions.

I think there is a lot of discontent this year.

Wage rise disparity

Players wanting to leave

Players being dropped

New players coming in, upsetting the apple cart.

Players dictating formation

Based on the displaysi think he has lost a majority of the dressing room

Yes, but there's also sportsmen that achieve their goal in life and walk away. Nico rosberg. Also don't forget that this lot we're a bunch of misfits brought together and achieved the impossible. They did it, what's left for them to achieve, no ones going to buy them, last season was it. End of.

It is a combination of things, we have been found out tactically, we have recruited poorly and our star players Vardy and Mahrez have not performed to the standards of last season while Huth and Morgan it is a season too far and are being constantly exposed with the player that was protecting them sold. Plus we have concentrated so much on the Champions league. claudio for some reason just hasn't been able to motivate the players

No ambition or a clear goal for the club. It should have been that we tried to use last season as a platform to establish ourselves at a top 6-8 club. The best of the rest.

Ranieri going on about 40 points winds me up. The lack of direction an ambition is horrible. We're a club with no aims.

We're crying out for some leadership again.
