I didn't see all of the Chelsea game but after the reviews he got I thought he was a bit flat yesterday.

Still impressed he's come back to this level after all he's been through.

We need to be able to move the ball quicker and create more, we are crying out for a creative midfielder.  I like Matty James but I’d like to see him take more of a risk, it’s all a bit static and one dimensional!

100% agree, if Silva doesn't establish himself in this team then I'll be astounded.

Anyone else think he’s carrying quite a bit of timber for this level?

I think he’s just very well built, he outmuscled a Watford player with ease last game. He also seems very athletic, able to go the full 90 without really decreasing in effort level.

I imagine when he was injured there wasn’t much else to do but gym work, hence the stockier look.

His passing is always crisp, breaks the lines quite often. He doesn't play sweeping long passes but his decision making is so good. He's like a much less athletic Moussa Dembele.

Dear me

next level shite

we are 7th we are top of our level

we won the league

But we will never be a big 6 team unless taken over by a country like Man City that’s a fact of economics

Matty James is Class in the next 18 months he will be linked with one of the BIG 6 club’s

Enjoy who and what we are and forget all that next level bullshit

leeds , Blackburn , Sunderland , Newcastle , charlton, Crystal Palace to name but a few have all spouted that “next level” bullshite and all have been up and down and back up and down again !

Thank you sir. You are right. I shall give up on ambition forthwith. We have reached our level.

Love matty to pieces and think he's more than good enough to be starting for us; hate seeing some fans saying its obvious silva (who they have not properly seen play) will establish himself in front of him. Only problem is he will inevitably get injured again, finger crossed he wont though

I believe on this topic, we see it the same way...

What I do find amusing this monday morning....

James..assist with a great pass to Jamey Vardy.....penalty..goal  1-0

Silva..assist with taking the ball, driving forward, noticed the opening, pass to Mahrez,

actually ran forward and was in the 6yard box to see mahrez shot home....2-0

We see Puel, trying variants, and using the flexability of change from within the squad..

You're right.. It's so nice to see a Manager using player's to their strengths and getting them to actually play football... Compare that to Shakey who just had one plan for every game!

Both he and Ndidi had really poor first halves. Completely reluctant to move the ball forward and have a go.

Puel must've really got into them at half time because they were both terrific in the second half. Had it not been for a monstrous performance from Wilf he wouldve been a candidate for MOTM. I'd still like to see Silva play but right now James is doing himself no harm.

Watching Wigan put WHU to the sword. Wigan have just brought on Reece James, commentator informs me he's brother of our Matty and like his brother has struggled lately with injury - 20 months out. You got feel for the James family

Normally I hate it when people bring money into it but I think most people would take a few cruciate ligament injuries and still have the career of a professional footballer

I agree but think about what he missed due to injury. He must be incredibly strong mentally as i wouldn’t know how I would cope with that.

Definitely, the article in the Telegraph (?) about missing out on winning the league was fantastic, he's done well not just to pack it in
