Although I often browse this forum, this is the first time that I have felt driven to comment.

Knowing Mr Wasilewski as I do, I can assure those putting him down that there is a big difference between the perceived 'player' and the 'man'. On the pitch his speed has obviously faltered, he will be the first to admit this. However, it is sometimes too easy to concentrate on his occasional rash act and ignore his footballing ability. As a central defender his vision of how the game should be played is, in my opinion, very positive. Away from the pitch it is all too easy to envisage him as a 'thuggish' dictator, but this is far, far from the truth. Yes, he can be hard when he needs to be. Very hard indeed. But of all the current players he is the one whom gives the most encouragement and support to the younger and newer members of the squad. I can assure all who read this forum that the current predicament of the club is hurting him as much as it is us, and that he really will give everything he can to help improve the situation. Unfortunately I have my doubts whether this is true of every member of the squad and coaching team. Please try to remember that our perception of people does not always mirror the truth. Mr Wasilewski is a true gentleman, always happy to take time to help others, and has the success of the club at heart.

Couldn't care less Bert and why would you back him up?

He could work at the club for all I care but it doesn't make it okay for him to come on here and abuse players.

Was simply just saying in response really to the "lol" after your " fountain of insider knowledge" comment that Dickov22 has a very good contact at the club because you seemed to be mocking.

I absolutely was mocking yes. Like I said he may well have a contact at the club but that doesn't entitle him to pass his opinions off as fact or to ridiculously inform others that 'he knows more than them' because that makes somebody sound pretty foolish. I just found it strange that you came rushing to his aid - lots of us know people who work in professional sport - doesn't mean you get to act like a **** about it.

No but lack of confidence probably are the reason he does that.

Any thoughts on why the captain of the premier league champions and named in CONCACAF team of the year should lack confidence??  Isn't he supposed to instil confidence?

i do appreciate your responses and respect your view although different to mine

He's always come across as a thorough professional to me!

I would never give him abuse, I'm simply giving my opinion of him as a footballer on a fans forum. It happens all the time. I wish him well when he retires but I don't want him to stay here and coach because I don't think he deserves it.

I judge him as a thug because of things like the Costa elbow, the Berahino elbow. And I'd agree he probably once was a good player. He isn't now though. He's terrible.

I dont understand the clamour for him staying on at the club. Why should he above other players who've payed for us before? Its just my opinion.

The berahino elbow? Ahahahahahahahahaha you've got to be on the troll - that was a less than nothing incident.

If the PFA player of the year (Mahrez) and football writers player (Vardy) lack confidence then why shouldn't Wes? I maintain my view that these players are not bad players. They are simply on the floor

Fair point. Whatever the cause I am so disappointed they can't rouse themselves to perform
