Phube Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Not a Claudio bashing thread, just a what monkeys we still need off our backs, having done a few recently: Thrown off already: 1) Win in 2017 2) Win after going behind 3) Two consecutive wins 4) Vardy scoring 5) Mahrez scoring from open play To still throw off: 1) Clean sheet in 2017 2) Away win 3) Beating Bournemouth in the Prem 4) Beating Arsenal (not since 1995!) Can you think of anymore?

StanSP Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 also, i think it must be the first time we've come back from a goal down to win a game this season. i believe all our other victories have come when we've scored first.

Koke Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 I'm convinced we will beat Bournemouth on the last day. That means Arsenal will be the only club we haven't beaten in the Premier League since we got back up 3 years ago. Unless we do a number on them when we play them soon (unlikely).

That's actually some achievement for a club like us to do in the space of 2.5 seasons in the Prem. Edit: Boro

We should've beaten them easily, chalked up two consecutive league wins and moved comfortably away from the relegation zone. Instead our tepid performance set the tone for what was to follow in January and February.

There's merit to that, we played a diamond for the first time which didn't play to our strengths at all and we were awful but escaped with a draw
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Beat West Brom at home! have over 50% possession in a game! Apparently Hull had 51% which I can't actually believe

Chico1958 Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Be nice to get 1-0 win home or away Somebodies already Rudkin It would be nice to get everybody talking about Leicester in a positive way............ again
fazzyfox Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Something I haven't seen us do - Watford to miss a penalty, we bomb up the pitch and score, fans invade pitch, our tannoy man turns into a complete w**ker. Actually, thinking about it I'd rather that didn't happen and we retain our pride and dignity and reserve our pitch invasions for moments that really matter. Tin pot club we are not.

Really, you're still salting out on that after all that's happened since? If you offered Watford fans the chance to swap fortunes with us they'd chomp both your hands off and your feet for good measure.
Koke Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 I got over Watford the following season when we steanrolled everyone and got over 100 points. That 100 point season we went to their place and won 3-0 and Knockaert redeemed himself. Not only am I over that game but I can look back and watch it again and laugh.

But that whole 3-0 game with the fluky Wood goal and the Knockaert goal put the nightmare well and truly to bed. I'm so glad the players got over it as well that quickly.

It's just something I can't recall seeing us do and it would be ironic if Watford were the opponents. Can see it happening with our pace on the break and Kasper in goal.
