FoyleFox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 In the washer on delicate, 30 degrees, shirt inside out. No issues. It only gets washed when we lose, so been washed a lot this season

Dawko Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 The only thing that makes shirts smelly is smelly people.

peach0000 Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Just follow the care labels, from memory they say turn inside out, wash at 40 degrees and don't tumble dry.

Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Well I do hope the PC mob aren't seriously going to hijack a bit of lighthearted banter? I had a word about it with Mrs BTS last night, didn't like to interrupt her while she was finishing off the ironing and putting my dinner on but her advice was " man up and get back in my cave"

norwichfox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Surely the question should be "what washing powder to use to save your delicate hands from going all wrinkley and red?" do they still make "Omo" washing powder?

I believe it's been re branded and is now known as Homo, you're also forgetting which fabric softener!
mick47 Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Have some heart guys after my woman passed on the magic laundry basket stopped working too. You can't imagine the confusion this caused, after the basket was full to overflowing and every other available space was covered in dirty shirts, pants , socks and jeans. I deduced that the magic of the basket had worn out so I purchased a new one , but I think it must have been a Chinese knock-off because that didn't work either. After a while I began to notice that people were avoiding me in the pub and ,strangely I always had empty seats round me in the stands, even though the stadium was sold out, my dog refused to come near me and the grand kids stopped visiting. Enlightenment came one day after purchasing yet another set of under pants as I unwrapped then I noticed a strange label stitched into the waistband,it didn't make any sense as it wasn't printed in English it had hieroglyphics and other strange markings, intrigued, I decided to google the strange markings. Apparently they were washing instructions !!! Well I was on a roll now so I googled washing clothes and up popped a picture of a white box with a port hole in the middle and, what's more, it looked strangely familiar. Next day as I was frantically searching the kitchen cupboards for a clean cup for my morning brew I came across a funny looking cupboard with a round door. Oh my brothers what a coincidence, this was the very same white box I'd seen on google the day before. After many hours of twiddling dials and knobs I finally got the strange round door open and rammed as many pairs of socks and pants as I could squeeze in, I shut the door with difficulty and waited for them to disappear and magic themselves, cleaned and folded, into my sock draw. Nadda! Nothing happened worse was to come I couldn't re-open the door, I needed advice. I phoned a female cousin who seemed to think I was winding her up and kept giggling as I explained my predicament, ( I'll never understand women) Anyway, after a brief conversation I set about searching through the draws for something called an instruction manual, Manual found and given a quick scan through I set about my task with vigor. At this point I must warn first timers that washing up liquid and washing powder are not the same thing, washing up liquid in the washing machine results in several days work swabbing out the entire kitchen and utility room and leaves an unsightly tide mark half way up the walls. Well after consulting the manual many times, I am now something of a washing guru and I finally have clean clothes, only downside is the grandkids have started visiting again, but It's nothing like as good as the magic basket, the clean clothes are damp and wrinkled as Nora Batty's tights and you have to put them away in the sock draw yourself. ( does anyone know how to get rid of mildew?) So Don't take the p*** out of someone asking for washing instructions you might need help yourself one day. Oh by the way If anyone knows where there's a magic basket- that-works-going cheap let me know.
Displaced Sky Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 If the owners of the shirts think they should be hand washed, then they should wash and dry them as they think fit. If they ask someone else to wash them, and that person is kind enough to do so, then they go in the machine.
MrSpaM Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Always hand wash mine now, the sponsor logo peels if you machine wash them too regularly, found that out the hard way during one of the championship seasons, not taking that risk with my Mahrez shirt from last season
sylofox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Have the Sunderland fans offered any advice yet as they seem to know a lot about this thread.
adejo92 Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 If you are only just considering washing them now then my advice would be to leave it another week, the fcukers might decide to walk away and wash themselves.
