dorsetboy Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 right chaps lads have gathered quite a collection of leicester tops this season they both have the red, white and blue and both decided they all need washing and by hand , well the wifes having a spaz having to handwash 6 footy shirts . my question is are these ok in the machine on delicates . there is no extra printing on them like names and numbers just the shirt as it comes cheers chaps
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Do you need hair, nails and make up tips too?
FoxesDeb Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I've always washed mine on a normal 40 degree wash, but then dried them on a radiator, not the tumble dryer.
Wymsey Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Neither, really. Many ways, the somewhat poor quality material today usually shows over time unfortunately. Letters eventually coming off etc. Some of the old shirts of the past are strong with many washes for some over the years.
Strokes Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I just put them in a basket in my room and they are back in my drawer the next day, clean as a whistle. I can't remember where we got the magic basket though sorry.
lifted*fox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Wash on 30 and dry on a rack, it'll be fine. Can confirm, modern man that understands laundry.
tom27111 Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Take them to the dry cleaners. Do not get them wet under any circumstances.
sylofox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I'll get my Mrs to sign up and explain how to do it. Ffs stupid questions. You would not go on the women's weekly forum to find out how to change a wheel would you.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 use washing machine and tumble dry and never had an issue
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 So we need a domesticated FKW thread, only on Foxes Talk
stripeyfox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 LIke the dramatic capital letters in the thread title.....
StanSP Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 washing machine has been fine for me, on 30 or 40 degrees along with any other clothing. Tumble dry and then air on a rack for a bit has been fine too. Still looks good as new. And it has printing on it.

Or haven't washed since july? Minging.
stripeyfox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 You should find the garment has a label attached which contains useful information on how it should be washed and dried.
UPinCarolina Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I used to dry clean occasionally, but they ruined my Vardy shirt and now I'm quite irked with them. Cold wash, without too much agitation. Air dry.
TrentFox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 You wash your shirt after it's been exposed to the KP atmosphere ?!?! Plastic!!
GaelicFox Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I washed my blow up Dinosaur by hand after the Everton game last season he totally stunk of cheese
Izzy Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 I just checked the label inside and this is what it says..

Lestoh Posted 3 April 2017 Posted 3 April 2017 Nothing brings out the old white sexist in FT like a thread about washing machines

How exactly do you know we are all white?
