They’ve scored 29 goals this season and sit in 7th place. Shows the lack of quality teams in the league this season. Defensively impressive tbf to them

Yeah, pretty much spot on is that. I don’t get the grief that Dyche gets though, he’s done a great job with Burnley, seems honest and doesn’t moan anymore than any other manager. Maybe I’ve got a short memory in my advancing years !

With all the "soft" penalties given - Arsenal against Stoke on Sunday - it is scarcely believable that Burnley are the only team not to be awarded a spot-kick this season.:)

You do realise you need to be in the opposition box to get a penalty.

An NP/Shakey dream team could happen. Can’t imagine any better combination for getting straight back up.

Not sure, Pearson is a clear the decks type of manager. Generally preferring young and ambitious players rather than a bunch of aging ones like at West Brom. He's also been tainted by the Ostrich nonsense and I can't help but feel he might find it harder to get respect of people after the press turned him in to a meme.

Would he not ‘clear the decks’ at West Brom?

God knows, they need clearing.

I think babs point was to clear decks would make it hard to bounce straight back.

Yes, but that would most probably mean no instant return. Took him some time to clear up Sven's mess here. He took over Hull after coming down and it was taking time to get rid of all the dead wood.

Is that not assuming West Brom would be demanding an ‘instant return’?

History has told us as you rightly say that this doesn’t happen with Pearson. He clears out, he rebuilds. This could be what West Brom themselves feel needs to happen?

I don’t know. But that was my point. It could well be that they want a manager who can ‘clear the decks’?

In the end of the day, Spurs got a great team. they just seem to lack one great player to win something.

They have great players what they lack is bottle.

Spurs Spurs Spurs blah blah blah they’re going on and on about how Spurs can finish 2nd again on 5Live, somebody once said to me “Nobody remembers 2nd” and that’s true, people remember the team that finishes 1st not 2nd lol

But they couldn't even finish 2nd in a two horse race.

I'm not sure what West Brom want, I was merely replying to your point that.... "An NP/Shakey dream team could happen. Can’t imagine any better combination for getting straight back up."

Typical little team whiny rhetoric. Embrace that youve had an overachieving season, and ready yourself for a relegation battle next and fans questioning Dyche

So your defender tripped an attacker in the area and your attacker jostled with a defender from a set piece and you're surprised one is a penalty and the other isn't?

You're right at home here pal, there's some right bias tits on here.

Do people really need stats like that to realise?! :dunno:

Take Man City out of the equation and I thought it was plain to see the league is bang average not that the 'best league in the world' slogan that the media want you to believe.

Tbf, I think this year has been especially poor. The entire bottom half is in danger, they've been almost climbing over each other to try and get relegated.

I find most leagues around Europe to be the same format these days. Couple very good teams and a lot of crap.

Hoffenheim are no better than us, we're no better than Sevilla who are no better or worse really than Lazio.

Or you could look at it as most teams are at the same level which in turn makes the league more competitive

Burnley didn't win for nearly 2 months and no-one challenged them. Very competitive.

They did it with us in League One, so it's not out of the realms of possibility!
