davieG Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 Getting the sack and being re-employed on a regular basis is an excellent career plan it wouldn't surprise me if the League Managers Association ran courses on it.
Matt Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 Everyone's talking about Pardew being sacked but no-one seems to have mentioned the self proclaimed 'best coach in the Premier League', John Carver who has been sacked along with Pardew. Ballsy decision by West Brom. 1
Tuna Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 Pardew sacked...has to be right up there with Les Reed and Pepe Mel as worst appointment in Premier League history.

Don't forget when Burnley got Brian Laws in after Owen Coyle. Or West Brom giving Alan Irvine a job.
Pablito Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 I've not liked Pardew since he was caught on Sky calling Pelligrini " A f##king old c##t " I believe that was back in 2014.

jammie82uk Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 This was at the end of Feb, he somehow made them into a worse team 1

Avram Grant - West Ham Worse than Pardew IMO. Pardew inherited an old, slow, dispirited team going down. Grant's West Ham team Scott Parker, Wayne Bridge, Tomkins and Gabbidon at centreback. Not world beaters but a squad capable of mid table. He relegated them.

brucey Posted 2 April 2018 Posted 2 April 2018 (edited) Shakey and/or Appleton maybe, Pearson no way. Presumably won't be officially appointed until end of season? Edited 2 April 2018 by brucey

With all the "soft" penalties given - Arsenal against Stoke on Sunday - it is scarcely believable that Burnley are the only team not to be awarded a spot-kick this season.:) 1

That is unbelievable ! I haven’t watched your boys much tbf, but aren’t they more reliant on a solid defence, rather than their attacking prowess ? I Either way you’ve had a fantastic season
