Sorry, an opportunity to show what a bunch of complete queens football players can be. You simply don't see this in Rugby, because you'd just be laughed off the field by your own team mates and out of the game. It's ****ing pathetic feigning injury in a bid to get a player sent off and as has already been noted on this thread, had the match been properly officiated then Sanchez wouldn't have been anywhere near Fuchs during the throw in. Encroachment is increasingly unpunished. Last year in MotoGP, I watched a rider crash trackside at Silverstone at nigh on 200mph hobble back to the pits and get straight back on his second bike. No tactical advantaged gained writhing in the gravel trap. The year before I watched Angel Di Maria roll twice as far when someone brushed his bootlace at jogging speed, then convulse on the floor for almost five minutes. This shit has gone unpunished for too long, it needs to be retrospectively dealt with and entirely eradicated from the game - it's a ****ing embarrassment. Loved it when Deeney picked up the play acting Paredes last season.

Only that Ben Kay is insecure about his sport to the point where he has felt the need to post a tweet like that, as if the incidents are in any way relocatable. Could it not simply be that he, like pretty much everyone else, was simply making fun of Alexis Sanchez?

Only that it's every single rugby fans comes out and pipes up about how "you wouldn't see that in rugby". Yeah, you wouldn't. We know, you don't have to continue to tell us it. On the other hand you wouldn't see such technical skill as you do in high level football. You don't hear every football fan drone on and on about it. Rugby fans, on the whole, love to let everyone know how big and tough their players are. It's cute.

No, "look at what a ponce you are" directed at Sanchez and the cringeworthy farce that the so called beautiful game has become - week in week out. The very fact that Sanchez felt the need to post that in the first place hardly smacks of integrity does it? You simply think that a rugby player is insecure about his sport because you want him to be. That is your inference - complete supposition and a product of your own subjective bias. The fact that Sanchez posted that on the other hand speaks for itself and is very much a reflection of the sad state of the modern game. - Yeah so secure. The fat lip wasn't even a result of the Fuchs throw in, rather a tangle with Huth. Ben Kaye simply made a response. If you deem that to be sanctimonious, posturing or braggadocio that's up to you. I know who is more dignified in my eyes and far from a question of 'being hard', I know which is the more noble game. It's a terrible shame. Much blame lies at Arsenal, but not in view of Sanchez, but because of this man...

The fact he brought a completely different incident from a completely different sport in completely different circumstances tells me all I need to know about him. I've had enough experience around rugby fans (I live in a rugby town) to know that the majority absolutely jump on every chance to show how much more physically impressive rugby is. Like I say, it's cute.
Nalis Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Why do these things have to turn into a rugby v football debate? I like both and cant stand it when the 'you wouldnt get that in rugby brigade' go off on one. Hate some of the shit footballers do but rugby players arent exactly angels either, the amount of dirty play behind the referees eyes at rucks and mauls are insane. There was also bloodgate which was just bizarre.

There's some very gifted ball handlers in rugby... the way they can get that ball to spin and twist in the air, at speed is very technical indeed....

It's just nowhere near the level of Premier League football. You just don't tend to hear football fans drone on about it like you do with Rugby fans and the "manliness" of it. It's embarrassing.

Like I say, it's cute. I think that was the main rationale - but also to demonstrate what a farce the modern game of football is. I feel your pain, but don't you feel that shit like this gives them unlimited supply of ammo? We don't need it in the game and if this helps illustrate how pathetic the original tweet was then it's one of those rare occasions in which social media has actually been productive. "The fact he brought a completely different incident from a completely different sport in completely different circumstances tells me all I need to know about him" No, it tells you all you want to think about him and what you need to think about him, when in reality you know nothing about the guy on a personal basis whatsoever. The irony being, that Sanchez's need to resort to twitter tells us much more about his foibles, as did his conniving diving - and that's what should be under debate here. Interesting that you didn't mention Carl Frampton's response - is boxing an "insecure sport" too?

I hope he does know this and learns not to make himself look such a tit again. However, I have a feeling he'll be denying it and in his own mind, will be blaming Fuchs for making him fall over like he'd been shot. Don't forget who he plays for. He's playing in one of the most pampered teams on the planet. It will be everyone else's fault but their own. No surprise fans of 'the Arsenal' talking shit as per usual, one on the radio claimed Fuchs should've been sent off I was speechless.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Alexis Sanchez is not certified "fresh" on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes

Whilst other people are having to battle through starvation, cancer, long term conditions or whatever, this little cvnt is rolling round on the floor having been hit by a football. Words can't express how disgusting he is. He needs to grow up, OR to have something genuinely nasty happen to him to make him fookin realize how lucky he is and what a knob he's made himself look. This Col I agree with one billion per cent.
stretch1965 Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 With such a bad injury did he make it through the night does anyone know?
ithuriel Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Maybe Sanchez has a fetish and at every opportunity likes to grovel and act abused at men's feet, playing for Arsenal means he gets paid for it too.
fuchsntf Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Love to get, him at the KP in a blue shirt. We nor he wouldnt be using any of those Arsenal antics, we'd change him to, a more than usefull.....good boy..
HybridFox Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 http://www.skysports.com/share/10852759 "Both players were trying to get each other booked" - no they weren't. Sanchez was being a c*** .
Dan Posted 27 April 2017 Posted 27 April 2017 Sanchez was time-wasting, Fuchs absolutely right to highlight that. Sanchez should've been sent off for numerous bookable offences. Fuchs was a bit aggressive but didn't really do anything wrong in my book.
The Doctor Posted 28 April 2017 Posted 28 April 2017 The amount of arsenal fans complaining that Fuchs MOAB'd Sanchez and he should have been sent off with them getting the free-kick is hilarious. Is there a single set of fans in the world with less self awareness than them?
