not true. no bids made.

If it were true, and I doubt it is - you can deduce one thing, the player wants to talk, and they'll have already had preliminary talks.

Imagine there's an element of sounding out going on, and post international break something will start to happen.

I highly doubt we'll get him.

not necessarily. 1) a club can bid for any player at all and this doesn't mean the player is interested and 2) they cannot have talks with the player without permission from the club anyway.

mate, all of that is true by the rules, but absolutely no signing is done without tapping up - reason we went so hard on Deeney last year was that he'd told Walsh he wanted to join to get away from Ighalo. All done through agents.

Why do you think when a fee is agreed the negotiations on personal terms, take less than a week - all been done weeks before.

Based on the last 20 years we can offer him cup finals, cup wins, title wins, A Premier League title, relegations, sex scandals, quarter finals of the best competition in Europe, free BMW's, free Mercs, free holidays, free ale, free crisps, free clappers, horrible football kits, he can be sponsored by Upton Steel, Birch can call him Siggy Stardust, he could be the first person to score a free kick for Leicester at the King Power for 4 years, free kebabs at Cyprus Kebab House, free gobbles at Stunnerz on Narborough Road, to be able to order the best thing in the world.. a battered sausage cob.

What can Everton fcukin offer him?

OK. Apart from that....

What have the Romans ever done for us?

By the rules yes, but in reality? Happens all the time.

at least it will piss everton off that they have to match our package to get him!

They won't necessarily have to match it. Swansea can accept what they want

I meant personal terms

also, the player is due a  loyalty bonus - if there is a discrepancy between ours and Everton's bid then Swansea may ask gylfi to lose that as a contribution to the shortfall

Looks like Everton are signing Klassen from Ajax, who I believe is a second striker, so this could be very good news for us.

They are not gonna accept £30m from Everton if we've bid £40m are they?

Yes they may. Deals can be built up in many different ways. It's not as clear cut as the highest bidder drives up the price, as St. Albans says, the terms can be cut and swapped to suit all kinds of scenarios.

We have to be ambitious, we need a player of his calibre to push us on, it might convince the likes of Mahrez to stay for another season.

Mahrez will not be convinced to stay. Regardless who comes in

Let's face it, if Everton want him, and it's a choice between them and us, Gylfi is only going to choose one way.

Yep Bayer Leverkusen with Charlie boy and Anderson Perry in the mix.
