Mahrez Value if worst came to worst

You're not getting this Kante comparison.  One had a release clause and could go.  The other had a three year contract and could not.

He is criticised because last year he was half the player he was the previous year.  And you're annoyed by that?  It's not because he is a laid back character.

He is the best player at the club and the one whose performance level dropped the most.  He deserved all the criticism he got.  It is true that a lot of others underperformed like Vardy for most of the year.  They were also criticised and they deserved it too.

I get your point all right, thanks.

Nope, he was the most slated starter last season. By a country mile. His performances dropped dramatically but I just have to think of DD to find another who was also pretty much crap. And got away with it unscathed. Thing is that I don't want to single out one player for what was a collective collapse. That's the easiest way. And if you fail to see that attacking players without support from the midfield can't do very much on their own, even more so when they're asked to defend (which he did, more than in the 2015/16. He's just shite at defending) then there is no point going any further.

After tonight, I'd sell him for a bag of pork scratchings.

I genuinely believe to sell Mahrez for 35 and to pay an extra 15 for Sigurdsson would put the club in a better place.

50 million quid for him is laughable. Like I've always said. He is at his level now. He is not good enough to play for a bigger club. Useless again tonight

We'd still need a winger.

After the game last night, never before realised how similar RM is to Ozil. I don't think either are suited to EPL- physicality?
I'd accept £40M + Totti. I know he's retired- but?

Well 20days before the transfer window closes imo we need another CB and a winger

I'm a big Mahrez fan but he is becoming a passenger, whether that is his hearts not in it or a genuine dip. It can't be fair to a) keep a young lad full of promise constantly on the bench 'just in case' he pulls his finger out or b) hold him back from a transfer, tho yes we need the right price.

In my opinion playing him right now is only worsening his value, you hope he'd be ripping up trees telling other clubs to come get me but he's gone the other way.

can see why Gray has been getting annoyed

He's worth £30m. Too inconsistent, weak and lazy. Nice corner last night, he did nothing else though.

Bbbbbuuuttt creativity.... Gray and Chilwell have that, and so does Ndidi when he is allowed to go forward with the ball.

It's clear Mahrez has his bags packed and is just waiting to be picked up. Get rid.

Exactly why I posted the thread all.thosd weeks ago

It don't usually work keeping a player who has his heart elsewhere.

As usual on here, most said keep him.

I often agree with your posts.

I was of the opinion to let him rot, but I think there is too much pressure to play him if he is here, and he clearly isn't going to put the effort in to attract buyers. So get rid to Italy, assuming he'll go. Not many of the 'PL big boys' will come in for him based on last season and last night. Barcelona... Hahahaha
