Not sure anyone said it was the whole ground did they, boos weren't isolated though. Bomber stuff from from a group of bores at the back.

The bombers chant was 3 people at most. I didnt notice the boos for Mahrez at all and I was in SK3 (fairly central) so obviously it wasn't many.

Thought the first half wasn't great although it wasn't as bad as some of the other friendlies.

Second half was much improved and despite them scoring almost immediately (what a strike although again, too much space) I thought we could've easily had more than we did.

Points from the night...

- Fully expect Ndidi and James to start at Arsenal. Ndidi really is a fantastic striker of the ball.

- Morgan was a bit dodgy I thought, Maguire looks quality, and comfortably our best defender on the ball.

- The wingers weren't great. Gray pretty anonymous and Albrighton all huff and puff. Mahrez produces a bit of quality almost instantly after coming on.

- Both goals were quality. The control from Vardy was top class and the finish was never in doubt after. The move for the second was very good and it'll be a huge shame if those three are broken up through Mahrez leaving.

- Iheanacho really impressed me with the assist. Thought he showed a very cool head by passing rather than shooting - given the adulation he was getting from the crowd and the position he was in, it would've been very easy to have just gone for it, but he made a better decision and basically guaranteed a goal. Good attitude.

- Our 'fans' who booed Mahrez when he came on are an embarrassment to the club. It 100% happened too, having been there it was a mix of cheering / applause & a few boos.

- Leicester & Monaco won me money from a bet I put on at half time with both teams level, both went behind within 5 minutes of the restart and both went on to win. Happy days.

Was it Oscar wilde that once said  I am not young enough to know everything' ?

When you grow up youl  know exactly what he meant.

Wasn't it the midnight runners who said we are far too young and clever? lol my point is not to pay the boisterous minority that bully and abuse people at football any mind, don't be offended :)

German Bombers isn't anything to be proud of and people can genuinely be offended by this kind of crap. It ain't the usual banter and if you can't see the difference then I feel sorry for you.

Well, they shouldn't be.

Not saying it's something we should be singing, but if people are genuinely offended by it then I couldn't care less, they need to be a bit less easily offended.

Maguire looked good but Morgan not so much, I still feel we need another CB. RB could  be a problem for us as well but overall I liked the look of the team. Vardy looks like he has a fire in him and that can only mean good things for us.

Fair enough. I stated what I think of the matter, you're entitled to your own opinion.

I'm not offended - it's such an overused term anyway - but I am appalled at the crass ignorance & stupidity.

Forgive me if I've misunderstood, but isn't that song about shooting down their planes and therefore killing their soldiers?

That's inherently going to upset and offend people.

Who? Nazis?

People need to accept that the 2nd world war happened and the end result was better than if the Germans had won. Sorry if that offends people.

If a German is offended by Nazi planes being shot down then I think other Germans should be ashamed of them.

As it happens I'm sure the majority of German football fans couldn't give 2 shits and take it with a pinch of salt. It happened 70 years ago FFS.

It's an outdated, borish chant perhaps but I'll happily question anyone who is actually offended by it.

There has been plenty of piss taking out of Germans about the war on TV for many years and people thought it was funny. Off the top of my head Fawlty Towers, Fantasy Football. Many, many things on television and in the media. Now all of a sudden it's offensive. Get over yourself.

So your only problem with the song is that it is outdated!?

Anyway, let's get back to the game:

Positives

  • Maguire good, especially with the ball.  Looks commanding too
  • Ndidi - he's getting better and better isn't he - way more box to box than I expected
  • Jamo getting back to it zlowly zlowly, great ball for the equalizer
  • Vardy looks sharp
  • Riyad showed his class
  • Nacho slotted in nicely
  • Albrighton seems to have take flack from some but thought he whipped in some good ball and looked very sharp
  • Shinji stayed on his feet a lot more!

Opportunities (I don't like negatives)

  • Kasper beaten by ANOTHER long range goal. What is it with him and letting in all these worldies?
  • Wes still needs to sharpen up
  • Gray's decision making needs to improve and I think it will
  • We need a plan if Mahrez stays to take a work load off him a little, especially defensively
  • Set pieces need to improve - we had a lot but not a lot came from them
  • Fuchs needs to get back to being simple - sometimes he is over confident, and therefore a little sloppy - that header for example
  • Concentration! We need to concentrate more. Conceding in first 20 seconds is not good. Sometimes we switch off at the back, leading to spectacular looking blocks that could be avoided with positioning

Overall, happy with the win and a good fun final friendly
