Evidence that almost all fans are plastic!

My Dad's going without me dragging him away from a Tiger's game because I'm back and got tickets. Hope it's not too hot on Friday or else half the attendees will melt.

I'm a supporter of BMG since 1975. Lived in Gladbach in my childhood and liked the football during this period so much. Saw famous matches against Liverpool.
I am looking forward to the match on Friday and I hope, it will be a good one.

I was a definite for this but am now undecided. I thought it was £15 but yesterday I found it was £10 for STH  having been to Wolves I'm not sure I'm up for another pre-season game though.

I'm put off by the West Stand only, although I think SK4 and a block in the family stand are open. To invite an established Bundesliga team and only open the one stand is poor. It's just another one of those things the club seems to do that niggle lately.

Surprised by the drop off in interest. Can't help but think that this fixture last season would have been much better attended. Perhaps I underestimated the amount of new fans we attracted.

Going for my sins. Just going to pretend it's a Champions League game, will there be a fan park?

When my brother enquired about the availability of tickets they told him that they should be readily available and that's they weren't even planning to open the whole ground, but would if there was enough demand.

I'd like to see us experiment for 45 really, although it's now a little late to be ideal

---------------Schmeichel

-------Simpson--Morgan--Maguire

Albrighton--Drinkwater--Ndidi---Fuchs

-----------------Gray

------------Vardy-------Slimani

then try Chilwell at LWB with Fuchs playing LCB, Gray as a wing back with Mahrez at 10 and hopefully Ihenacho alongside Vardy. Iborra and James to get a half to decide who partners Ndidi at Arsenal if DD doesn't.

Dont think anyone else is likely to start next week?

You want to change formation in our last pre season game a week before we go to Arsenal?

Madness.

We need to give the starting 11 against Arsenal a good run out in the formation we're going to be playing.

No I wanted us to do it weeks ago as indicated at the start of my post, but it's now or never, so I say for 45 minutes now. Swear I said that! ?

They should have made it free to ST holders and a £5 for everyone else to fill the place up and build up a pre-season atmosphere rather than creating the ideal conditions for a pre-season flop event.

But I'll be there wondering why?

NB Flop is the word of the day.

I can imagine the foxestalk meltdown if this happened .

We would get pasted!

Nows not the time to mess around with the side.

They'd open 4 if there was demand for 4, surely?

Having been to many of these games over the years, the one stand thing seems odd when you go in, but when the match starts it's no issue

It makes much more sense for the club to have one full stand than four almost empty ones, if they want them full then they need to get a top club in for the final game

Nothing wrong with experimenting in pre-season, although it might be a bit late for that now.

When do you think the best time to be trying out new tactics is if not pre season?

Considering this is basically the same team as last season and our preferred tactic is to sit on the edge of the box and smash the ball away in any direction for 90 minutes. I'm pretty sure they will be able to remember how to do that come next Friday.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are a good side, but not that good. They've struggled quite a bit in pre-season, in particular finding goals. It all began with a 1-0 win against Wuppertal, followed by a 2-2 draw against Belgian minnows KAS Eupen (from the German-speaking part of the country). The Telekom Cup appearance - where a game is 30 minutes - resulted in two losses (both after penalties). As part of their training camp in Bavaria, they took the lead against a dominating Nice side with a super long shot by Hazard, but that was against the run of play, as they couldn't create much up front otherwise and lost due to two second-half goals. And the 1-1 draw with Leeds on the same day (earlier) was also hardly a showstopper. Lost 2-1 against Nuremberg, the recent 2-1 win against Malaga was only sealed by a late penalty.

They play what you could call "dry" football. Basic, simple, unattractive, yet effective.

If Slimani plays that means he'll be unavailable for the Arsenal one, must be in his contract that he can't play twice in a row
