Price increases food and drink

Am I right in thinking a pie has gone up from £3.20 to £4 ?? Not that last seasons pies were much good.

£4.50 a pint too!!

It's inflation innit. I'm finding everything slightly more expensive these days. 80p more for a pie is a bit much though. Those prices for a pint have been slowly creeping up everywhere.

Completely justified.

Won't get many better pints in Leicester than the one in the concourse.

Too lively if anything, lovely drop.

Mate a packet of mini cheddars has gone from 1 quid to 1.25 in a matter of weeks in my local, how can you justify that, the pub down the road sells them for 75p and he uses the same supplier, 1 i think is a greedy bastard, i can get 6 packs for a quid from tesco lol

pricing me out the pub by pricing my kids snacks to high.

Wouldn't know mate, At the New Road Inn it's a fiver for a curry rice and nan and £3.20 for a pint why would I want to stand in a concrete concourse and waste my money on that expensive plastic cup dross.

That's impressive, a mile there ,have pint and a ruby ,a mile back, in fifteen minutes.

Respect.

You even needs to eat after pints of Guinness. That's like eating 2 Sunday dinners to me.

I regularly drink a pint with my Sunday lunch

The food in the stadium is overpriced and poor quality. Ok, the pies are probably ok but very expensive, considering you can buy them wholesale for about 50p each.

Many clubs now sub contract the catering out to multiple food vendors so each kiosk is offering something different. This creates competition and improves quality. The current arrangements at Leicester with one company churning out the same crappy hotdogs and burgers for £4 a throw makes our offering about as bad as it can get.

Haven't had a pie in the ground for about two or three years. The price is shocking.

I go Leicester City chippy on Aylestone Road where I get pie and chips for less than the cost of one pie in the ground.

The concourse provision in general is appalling.

Year on year I wonder why there's not a chilli and jacket potato type stall in the winter - something remotely tasty and healthy that's simple.

Not being able to have a beer in the stands is just a joke too. I used to have to sit in the prawn sandwich seats so I could get two double brandy and cokes then pour them into a coffee cup so I could drink in the stadium.... and don't get me started on not being allowed a tiny vape here and there - I'd rather watch it at home or in the pub.

Bah.

Humbug.

Surely everybody who buys food & drink at all premier league grounds knows they are about to be ripped even while standing in a 10 minute queue. It has been the case for years. Mass produced low quality shite & theres still a huge demand. Strange.

The worse was when the owners gave them free vouchers at Sunderland away. I honestly queued about 40 minutes just to get a free bottle of pepsi.

If people queue to buy the dross they serve in the stadium they can charge whatever they want. If we boycotted them till they improved on quality and price they would have to do something about it. I watch rugby league and the standard of food is much better even in football stadiums.

It's not as bad everywhere though. Some clubs offering is much, much better. Probably still overpriced, but definitely better quality.

By dividing outlets up to different caterers, as some clubs do, you get competition and better choice. One kiosk does burgers and hotdogs, one does Jacket spuds, one does Nachos, one does Hog roast or something.

I don't mind paying a fiver for a snack before the game but a little bit of choice and quality is needed. The current food at Leicester simply makes me keep my fiver in my pocket and wait until I get home!
