Should I get rid of this?

Downsizing, so need to declutter. Manage to hold on to this for 40 years. But is it time for it to be consigned to the scrapheap? OH says yes. Obviously a little dodgy electical-wise with that flex...A sad day.

Keeping that for 40 years is a shade too much in my opinion. Probably a bright idea to get rid of it.

The issue here is the age!

And I'm on about antiques, not my old birds..  

If it's as old as the OP says it is, there's where the value might lie.

As a buyer and seller of antiques, I can tell ya any value would be in its age, history and rarity.
